    I worked for them They are a terrible company to work for. I would suggest that you try to work along side the installer to make sure you get a professional install.

    Hey Guys, I have been doing Direct for 2 years and got offered a job to do Dish. With Dish being a little more complicated I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a cheat sheet to help me with switches, remote setup, and etc. Thanks :)

    I would call DTV and find out which Home Service Provider works your area and complain about the installer. He might lose his job and maybe that would make you feel a little better. If the TN in your name is Tennessee I can get you that info cause I install in TN...

    DTV Installation

    I would suggest you reschedule and when the installer comes back you can call his local office while he is there and get the real heads up on apartment installs. Personally I love installing apartments... Not a lot of work. You can also buy a tripod for under $20.

    terk 5x8 multiswitch

    no it doesn't pass voltage. you use that input in conjunction with a diplexer... a sat ird does not even pass 24vdc.

    I would take a look at your connectors, ground block, and all connecting on the multiswith if you have one :)
