    KiwiSat free?

Your elevation in relation to sea level doesn't make any difference, just your latitude and longitude. Also, I'm not sure if that service is still broadcasting, even if you were in the reception footprint.

    New user - old Birdview

Here's how I enlarged the opening in a BV scalar with stuff I had in my shop. https://www.satelliteguys.us/xen/threads/phlats-birdview-install.154646/#post-1596464

Unless you can see some obvious damage to the reflector I would bet the parabola is the same as it came out of the factory, those things are very rigid and hold their shape. I added some declination to one of mine by putting spacers (washers) between the back of the reflector and the mount.

Yes, physical measurements and math should get you close, then tweak and peak for the best signal.

I've never seen a BV with a linear actuator on it, like yours has. And most of the BVs I ever saw were 8'-6 in diameter, but I know they also had a 9'-6 reflector. Don't think the larger size was very common though. Search for old threads here by Linuxman and possibly Pendragon for some good BV...

First C-Band Dish Need Motor Suggestions

Yes, I would just use the top set to adjust the elevation. And those bolts may need a little penetrant, percussive maintenance or heat (in extreme cases) but they look to be in excellent condition, would be really surprised if they gave you much trouble.

First C-Band Dish Need Motor Suggestions

I agree, that one has the same model number as my Prodelin 1.8. Lots of good advice and perspectives in here for you to assess, card13. It could definitely be motorized on an AJAK, or even a Birdview H-H mount, but only you can decide if "the juice is worth the squeeze", it's a pretty good...

That dish alone is worth most of what you are asking for the lot, excellent consumer-grade dish.

    10 ft Unimesh Grab

I have SAMI's, Perfect 10s and some others but always thought the Unimesh were slightly heavier built and are my favorite of the typical consumer-grade BUDs...especially the perfs. Nice find and haul!

Uniden Supra - is it garbage?

Those VideoCipher modules have a battery in them that can leak and make a mess of the IRD, might want to look at that also.

    Hi, My name is Al

Cost may be a factor but have you considered Starlink internet? You will need to see a pretty good piece of sky, generally to the north. We have had it for going on a year now and it has been incredible with uptime at approximately 99.999%. We see speeds of 125-250 down, 10-20 up and pings in...

Testing the new Titanium C138 Performance Plus C Band LNBF

I use a center punch and line up a very light punch mark on the mount and pole.

    Toshiba TRX-100 Sat Name

That would be nice if you could just put in the location in degrees like that, since the names and designations are always changing it seems. I have always tried to think of everything by location anyway, less confusion for me, hope you can figure it out.

    Toshiba TRX-100 Sat Name

I had a TRX-100 several years ago and I don't remember a way to change the names, but it may be possible. I do remember printing out a chart and just relating the pre-programmed names to an orbital location slot and cross referencing to that when the satellite names changed. A lot of...
