I also forgot to mention that I was able to transfer all my timers successfully using my old remotes. I did a backup manually the night before. After the installer left, I unpaired the 52.0 remote, paired the old remote, then did a restore of settings from old remote. Timer list showed up...

Just wanted to give an update to my original posting. I decided to accept an upgrade to the Hopper 3 and all I can say is "wow!" I don't know if this thing is truly that fast, or if I was just becoming used to the slowness of the CUI on H1, but the H3 certainly purrs for sure. HUGE difference...

I just bit the bullet and reprogrammed everything again. I'm amazed sometimes at how simple features like this are still not possible with such an "advanced" system at this point.

I know you can't transfer directly from remote to remote, but it appears that there is a function in the restore section of the receiver that allows you to offload backed up remote settings to another remote, as you can see in the picture. I backed up all the settings to the old remote first...

Is there a way to copy all of the programming (Codes and custom functions) from one 40.0 remote to another without having to go through and reprogram everything again? I have a lot of custom functions that I had to teach the remote for my AV receiver and it was so complicated to get it to work...

So about a week ago the original Hopper/Joey system in our house was updated to the new CUI (Against my will, I might add. I was going to hold out as long as possible and upgrade kicking and screaming all the way, but someone else in the house decided to accept the upgrade when the message...

Yup! Same for the Joey as well. Under the whole-home setup menu it is showing bad MoCA for the link between the Hopper.

Also, tasks like loading DVR folder, guide info, and other operation tasks are sometimes very slow on the Joey as well.

No error messages appear at any point.

So for some reason, whenever I try to watch TV via the Joey in the bedroom, there are LOTS of random freezes/glitches when watching both live and recorded shows. I've already tried some of the basic troubleshooting steps, including resetting both the Hopper and Joey, checking connections, etc...
