    Issues Surrounding CUI Update

I also forgot to mention that I was able to transfer all my timers successfully using my old remotes. I did a backup manually the night before. After the installer left, I unpaired the 52.0 remote, paired the old remote, then did a restore of settings from old remote. Timer list showed up...

    Issues Surrounding CUI Update

Just wanted to give an update to my original posting. I decided to accept an upgrade to the Hopper 3 and all I can say is "wow!" I don't know if this thing is truly that fast, or if I was just becoming used to the slowness of the CUI on H1, but the H3 certainly purrs for sure. HUGE difference...

    Copy Remote Programming

I just bit the bullet and reprogrammed everything again. I'm amazed sometimes at how simple features like this are still not possible with such an "advanced" system at this point.

    Copy Remote Programming

I know you can't transfer directly from remote to remote, but it appears that there is a function in the restore section of the receiver that allows you to offload backed up remote settings to another remote, as you can see in the picture. I backed up all the settings to the old remote first...

    Copy Remote Programming

Is there a way to copy all of the programming (Codes and custom functions) from one 40.0 remote to another without having to go through and reprogram everything again? I have a lot of custom functions that I had to teach the remote for my AV receiver and it was so complicated to get it to work...

    Quick: 4K Joey vs. Joey 2.0 w/ Hopper 3

I've tried searching the forum and didn't find much about this, so sorry if it's been discussed in detail already. I need some quick input on what would be the better option to take for a Joey paired with Hopper 3: the 4K or 2.0? I have no interest in PiP, but I do understand the 4K does not...

    Issues Surrounding CUI Update

That was something else I was wondering, if I could keep my 40 remotes.

    Issues Surrounding CUI Update

Thinking about going with the Hopper 3 since it appears like the bleeding with the H1's will not stop anytime soon. Couple questions before I pull the trigger. Are there any issues with the H3 that I might need to expect? Has there been a good success rate in transferring recordings from H1 to...

    Issues Surrounding CUI Update

So about a week ago the original Hopper/Joey system in our house was updated to the new CUI (Against my will, I might add. I was going to hold out as long as possible and upgrade kicking and screaming all the way, but someone else in the house decided to accept the upgrade when the message...

    Glitches/Freezes on Joey

Yup! Same for the Joey as well. Under the whole-home setup menu it is showing bad MoCA for the link between the Hopper.

    Glitches/Freezes on Joey

Also, tasks like loading DVR folder, guide info, and other operation tasks are sometimes very slow on the Joey as well.

    Glitches/Freezes on Joey

So for some reason, whenever I try to watch TV via the Joey in the bedroom, there are LOTS of random freezes/glitches when watching both live and recorded shows. I've already tried some of the basic troubleshooting steps, including resetting both the Hopper and Joey, checking connections, etc...

    DIRT: Dish Outages

Hi, I need a member of DIRT to message me about dish outages that have been occurring with my system almost daily. It seems to occur from around 2:00 - 5:00, or sometimes as late as 7:00. At first I thought it might be sun related, but other friends in the area have not reported similar...

    DIRT Help Needed

A tree has fallen on the dish and the LNB arm is bent out of alignment. A friend who used to install dishes came and got things working best as possible, but the bottom line is I need a new dish. I know I could call and go through the rigamaro, but I've got a busy schedule going on at the moment...

DISH Reaches Long Term Agreement with DISNEY / ESPN / ABC

Scott, just how much room are we talking about freeing up when the conversions are complete, a small amount to allow for a handful of new HD channels or enough to go crazy and maybe even improve picture quality? Also, I assume this is dealing with Western Arc, correct? Posted Via The FREE...

    Considering the hopper

    1) Either box from Dish will without a doubt be better than your current setup. 2) Personally switching from a 722 to a Hopper setup, I am satisfied and wouldn't consider looking back. My brother has a 722 setup and every time I use them I'm reminded of how much better the Hopper truly is. Sure...

    Does hopper have homeplug?

I had a similar situation and they ran coax to the room and installed a wall plate at no extra charge (either under floor or outside though, nothing complicated). If you're not picky then this could be a good option. Definitely more reliable than HomePlug.

    Problem Ordering VOD

Can someone from DIRT message me regarding a problem I'm having when ordering VOD? I don't see anyone showing up online at the moment. When I try to place the order it gives me a message saying the maximum purchase limit on the receiver has been reached (error 363). Thanks!

    Got Hopper + 2 J today .. broadband problem ?

Something else that hasn't been addressed is your Internet connection to the Joeys. If you want to take advantage of all the features you need to run another hard wire connection to each Joey if possible. Your other option would be a HIC which would send broadband over the MoCA network.
