    While very OLD, I still use the Mac app to watch my Slingboxes. It only supports resolutions up to 640x480 but its enough for my uses. I use is with the PRO HD and older units. I never bought any of the real recent units.

    Delivery of the sub-channel locals via IP is where I see the at&t/Directv combo paying dividends. They could be picked up locally and sent to the DTV box as a stream via at&t DSL (free) or other ISP (you have to deal with the bandwidth costs yourself).

    I've always chosen to run separate lines out of concern for the insertion loss of 2 diplexers. I'm not sure how they do the switching with the new xKU.

    This is my first year with DirecTV. In my area the channel remap does not take me to my local channels. It searches for the same game and then changes to FOXwHD 399 or CBSwHD 391 neither of which I receive. Is there anyway to 'fix' it so it will properly tune to my locals?

    Probably far less than 1% in the US would be my bet.. I look for other StarChoice/ShawDirect dishes locally and I've only seen 2 others. I would guess the NFL could be one of the sources of friction on the move.
