The 942 is nice. I have 2 Tivo's I upgraded to 340 hour each. They will be both going on ebay soon. I will miss the capacity, but I just don't need them anymore. I am just going to get another 942.

The second TV is SD only and doesn't support component or DVI cables. I still get the HD content on the SD feed, it's just downrez'd.

It is my understanding that you cannot get E* with your old VoOm equipment, Dish or STB. The dish could actually be used if you modified the mount to support a different LNB, but otherwise its all different shiznit.

Anyone else having a problem getting a 942? I have been waiting 2 weeks. I am using a private installer and was third on his list, now at the top, but still. He says the 942's are few and far between. I did notice that Fry's had one on the shelf for $700 and I see them on eBay. Whats up with that?

I am having an install done by a private installer, same guy that did my original VoOm install. He has informed me that although I am on the top of his list for installs, I have been waiting over a week because he is waiting on a 942 for me. He says they are in short supply right now.

Please post your opinion of comcast's PQ, and what kind of HDTV you are watching on. I tried Comcast for 15 minutes on my Elite Plasma and told the guy thanks but no thanks. The HD was no better, maybe worse than the SD from my other provider... truly. That was about 6 months ago in Northern...
