    true newbie

You may be able to get by without an inline amplifier. I have a 200 ft run of RG6 and it worked fine without an amplifier. I'm using one now, mostly to overcome the losses in the switches and splitters I'm using. It does seem to improve things a bit. I'd suggest you try it without an...

Are there any FTA channels that show the original star trek series (the one with Kirk, McCoy and Spock)?

    arc set

I've used Gourmet Entertaining's Arc Set and think it works great. Much easier then using a compass or the north star. It works for a range of about 50 miles from where he sets it up for and you can adjust it for a new location by calibrating the bubbles to a know working dish. Once you have...

    KU LNB for 10' Bud

KU LNB for 10 ft BUD I have a 10' Bud (SAMI) with a Co-rotor 2 and have tried 3 ku lnbs with it, an Aspen 770 ku (0.6 db), a Norsat 4507A (.7 db) and a Norsat 4000A (.6 db). All of them worked quite well. I found that tuning the dish and making sure it tracked the arc made much more of a...

Help with Azbox on HD feeds

I have an Azbox premium (firmware 0.9.4219), 10-ft mesh BUD, Toshiba TRX-1820 to move dish and change skew, Corotor II with Norsats 8115 & 4507A. Tried to watch the KY-FL BB game last night on AMC 16 12140H 29270. Had no problems locking the signal and it scanned in okay (Sig S 74, Sig Q 54)...

Viewsat VS2000 Platinum factory bin reset question

Loading Viewsat factory bin file You should have loader2.exe installed on your pc. The factory bin file is VIEWSAT_PLATINUM_V0278.PGM. Make absolutely sure you don't turn the receiver off before it finishes loading or you will trash it.

    So much for new box

Azbox power cord You really don't need an adapter for the Azbox power cord. I just cut the euro plug off and installed a 69 cent lamp-cord plug. Works great and one less thing to go wrong.

Best blind scan receiver for HD signals?

I have a ten-foot bud with corotor II and C/ku linear LNBs. I’m interested mostly in sports feeds and plan to get an Azbox premium when they become available in the USA. I have a GI 920 which I plan to use to move the dish and change polarity. Since the Azbox does not have blind scan I will...
