I have a wired Ethernet connection. The first movie I selected played within seconds. Now any movie I pick demands a LONG wait. I'm currently at 3hrs 54mins wait. That's not what I call streaming or on demand at all. I'm glad I kept Netflix streaming.

I read that they are spending less on dvd purchases and more on streaming rights. That could explain the long waits. I simply went from 3 discs to 2 to avoid paying more. Honestly, we watch more streaming through Netflix now than satellite.

Thanks for the tips. I had no idea DLP couldn't display 1080i. I will set both to 720p (and the Dish receiver) and sit closer (I currently sit about 12 Ft. away.) to see if it's an improvement.

Yes, that would be ideal. Just change all the SD channels to HD and get rid of the double coverage. I'm sure the SD subscribers wouldn't even notice or care. I have often wondered why they are taking up so much room with two versions of each channel. It's just stupid.
