yeah, thats what i mean, i mentioned they may have the wrong script, and he said something about an upgrade.

i have had the receiver since around my join date, and has had daily use since then. it does bug me that it says the version of software is from 2004, and when speaking with the folks at D* they don't use the right button names when they talk to me.

so, it would be safe to assume that i have the latest software version even if it hasn't been hooked up to a phone line.

i have 1.0.14, what is the most current? how are they made available? phone line?

interesting, but the 7005 was $30 and my amp was $20 I got a good deal

ok, so the 7005 os the greatest antenna ever. well, at least that i have tried. i immediatley got 44 with 80%, i added an amp, and it is at 90% the rest of the channels flutter between 90 and 100%. :eek: :up

eh, went down and bought a winegard 7005 at lunch. we will see how it works.

here is my info from antenna web: now, im not really concerned about A and B, but i want the rest. I tried this antenna from RS, and noticed no difference from no antenna at all. I mean zero difference whether hooked up, or disconnected. (looked at the signal strength on the HDTV receiver)...

would it be feasable to place this antenna in the attic EDIT: on CEAs site, it says i am about 10 miles away from all the stations. wouldnt that big ol anttena be overkill? couldnt i go for a Medium Directional Antenna like the winegard square shooter?

so youre saying that they are launching 2 new Sats and they will only be for locals? how many actual "real"(aside the big 3) networks actually broadcast in HD? who is the stick in the mud about getting HD content?
