100% signal reliability in the future for Satellite??

Heh, I find it funny that you say satellite is inferior because the dish got over loaded with snow and fell down. Where was the dish mounted? On your roof or eave? Did it damage your house when the lag bolts ripped out? Or is it on a pole and you were too lazy to clear the snow off it? The...

Dish Mover - Existing Dish Install

This really depends on the installer you get. As far as I'm aware, comdeck is not an approved mount for dish network. So a technician that cares about their job will not install on it. You're best bet is to call a local dealer. Ofcourse I would personally prefer a secure mount rather than a...

20.0 IR Remote interferance with Tv

It's the ambient light sensor that causes the issue. Shut it off on the TV and profit. Posted Via The FREE SatelliteGuys Reader App!

One line from Dish to feed 2 Hoppers-is it possible?

You can use a 5/8 bit and run 2 cables in 1 hole. Keeping your node inside out of the cold. Posted Via The FREE SatelliteGuys Reader App!

    Is my LNB good?

I know its been a whole year, but teaching the new techs about frequency deviation and lnb drift and found this thread again .. So, Mr satbuddy, the meter then handles this automatically? As in checking tuner 1 and tuner 2 while doing the limit scan, even though it only gives you one set of...

    Tuner 3 lost signal

It actually depends on if the damage is before or after the node. Before, you have only 2 tuners per line, after the node, you have 3 tuners per host line. If tuner 3 is missing on 2 hoppers, I would point to one of your lines before the hopper being the issue. Either the Splice, connector at...

Dish Network no longer approves staples to attach cable?

Of corse you have to account for user error as I have seen quite a few technicians that I've wondered how they even got a job as simple as thîs one Posted Using The New SatelliteGuys Reader App!

Dish Network no longer approves staples to attach cable?

When you all think of staples, you're prolly think of the crappy staples used on the old rg59 where the actual staple wrapped around the cable and not the rb2/rb4 staples which are unable to crush the cable like a nail clip or a screw clip that has been over tightened. Posted Using The New...

Exede, Problems with modems losing sync

Replace the cable. Had a customer with same issue. Modem would lose lock every 12 hours and would not reconnect without power cycle. 3 techs before me relocated pole, replaced equipment, and cable from dish to groundblock. I arrived and power cycled modem. It locked on and I checked modem stats...

Dish Network no longer approves staples to attach cable?

Ok. Understandable. However the RB2/RB4 staples are unable to crush the cable due to having a hard plastic form that secures the cables. Thanks for the replies though, definately answers my question.

Dish Network no longer approves staples to attach cable?

So, the company I sub-contract for use to sell staple guns and stapels. Both the Arrow t59 and the RB2/RB4 staples. I'm now hearing that staples are no longer an approved cable attachment item, only nail clips and screw clips. Can anyone confirm this is an actual rule of Dish Network? There is...

    Conflict of What to Do?

You would return equipment to retailer. As you signed a contract with the retailer. As far as a charge for returned equipment, you'd need to check the contract signed.

    RG 59 Problem and need a pro's opinion !!

Alternatively, you cut the connectors off both wires, strip the wires back and tie them together. Put black tape around it to keep them from pulling apart. This I feel will work better than barreling the connectors.

What are the Moca bars for?

It is an option in the menu that shows the moca signal. Unfortunately I can't tell you exactly where the option is at in the menu off the top of my head.
