If someone wanted to use my dish for FTA, could they use my receiver or would they have to buy a new one? (General Instruments 2750R receiver)

My friend and I pulled the dish down last night and it's ready to go to someone's house or the scrap yard very soon. If nobody wants it I'll probably keep the pole, and the actuator motor and and all the steel parts. Scrap the aluminum mesh dish and the LNB itself, unless someone wants it...
