Come on guys, let's find this dish a nice home! - :up - :D

Iceberg: should the post be moved into the C-band section to get more attention?

You could always get it and leave it sitting around doing nothing like I've been doing with my C-Band dishes  ... Hopefully an upcoming spring (summer) project will finally spell my graduation into the C-Band club.

My friend and I pulled the dish down last night and it's ready to go to someone's house or the scrap yard very soon.

If nobody wants it I'll probably keep the pole, and the actuator motor and and all the steel parts. Scrap the aluminum mesh dish and the LNB itself, unless someone wants it....

Here is my helper standing in the hole where the post was. Half the concrete was already broken off the pole at this point. Once we got all the concrete off, we put the chunks back in the hole and covered it up.

Here is the Satellite dish and all it's parts stored in the garage for now. Post is on the floor and not visible.

If someone wanted to use my dish for FTA, could they use my receiver or would they have to buy a new one? (General Instruments 2750R receiver)

the GI 2750R is a analog receiver it will receiver what few analog channels are up there and what wild feeds are still beamed up. (plus it will move a big dish)
most of the newer stuff requires a DVB receiver.
