    722 burned up maybe

    i wasn't looking for a suggestion... and thank you for your keen insight... but i was looking for an informed technical answer. now.... lets try this again... does anyone KNOW as a matter of FACT if there is a fuse or fusible link ?

    722 burned up maybe

    one of my friends has a 722 which ( long story) got plugged into a 220v outlet. it doesn't lite up any more. this is not the first time he has done this but always with his 311's. on those it would do one of two things... burn up such that smoke would pour out and he throws it away or...

    600 Feet of RG11 DPP Twin -> DPP44

    i have two installations currently operating perfectly similar to this. one has 490' of rg 11 and the other 512. in both cases i run 3 dishes, dp lnbs, and a two cascaded dpp44 switchs at the house. at the house. i use conventional inline amps just before the cables enter the switches...

    72.7

    i suppose you could be right but the US VI are only 40 miles away ... and the foot print i see runs right over my island. what are the USVI doing for HD and then why does my meter say good sig / good quality and nimq 5 ? i'm just looking for an answer. not an argument.

    72.7

    it may be a reach but lets assume that i actually know what i'm doing . it's not a legacy box. it's a new vip211k and its a test i am running side by side to an existing 3 dish array that sees 119/118/61.5 and 110 . the test is being run on a 6' dish even tho a 4' dish here works...

    72.7

    its a vip 211k. w/ a 1.2 M dish 61.5 makes 78 % on the box . on the meter, 72 is about 10% less than the 61.5 ... its not a noise or threshold issue.

    72.7

    it does ... with a very big dish... but not the question. if i can see it on the meter, why can't i see it on the box ?

    72.7

    i see no evidence of that. hd channels disappear of 61.5 every day and none ever show up

    72.7

    ok... dish is migrating all the hd from 61.5 to 72.7. some questions please. 1) 72.7 is circular, not linear correct ? 2) a conventional DP lnb should work... same as 61.5 correct ? 3) i have a client who uses the 110/119/61.5 profile. i set up another dish and looked for...
