Instructions for Adding the 61.5 - revised 05/04

I spoke with our E* rep today and he said the channels were supposed to be moving to 148 by the end of the month. I'll just wait and see as I already have a 148 dish.

Dish Network price hike a reality

OK, so I got the initials wrong. What advantage to the old plan other than the pricing that changed?

Dish Network price hike a reality

New activations with the DHP don't have to pay a leasing fee. Is it not possible after your one year commitment is up to have them switch you to this plan?

Anyone get a call to upgrade to 921?

My wife got the call and told the rep that she works at RadioShack and could get it for the same price there minus her employee discount so....no thanks. The rep wouldn't take no for an answer so she told him to call back at a later time and talk to me :D

Dishnetwork Might Get Sold Soon, or Merged

Your point is well taken with one exception, IBM's customer service(call center) is widely held as the best in any industry.

Someone told me the 921's will be available at Costco for $499 soon!

    clubdish card

If you can't use Club Dish with SBC, that would be a great reason no to go with them. I've got the max 12 credits built up, and it makes my bill next to nothing.

    Any new HD channels soon?????????????

I would be happy with any additional HD channels, but I'm hoping for another network feed. I can't get any OTA channels.

    When is E* getting FoxHD??

I wouldn't think he'd want to do that. I wouldn't think News Corp. would want to give any reason to believe or even suspect that they were keeping FOX HD exclusive by using pricing with other service providers.

Dish Network or Direct TV in Southern California?

There is currently no minimum obligation to sign up with Dish Network, so no early disconnect fee at all. I agree that Directivo is a better system than Dish Network's DVR, but you don't have to pay any up front cost for the DVR with Dish, and it's a 2 tuner, 2 room solution. I'm not sure...

With DTV getting FoxHD, how many will switch ?

With all of the Club Dish credits I got built up, I'd be hard pressed to switch to D*, unless they overwelmingly had better/more HD programming than E*. :D

I'll move twice in the next six months, what would you do?

no, If you get a Club DIsh card and refer someone else, you'll get a free move. It won't get you any extra receivers in the apartment, but when you move you can then cancel and not break your contract, and sign up in your wife's name.

I'll move twice in the next six months, what would you do?

I would get a club dish card and use it to get a referal. This gives you one free move. If you are maried you can sign up in your wife's name once you get to the new house and get the receivers you want with no out of pocket expense, and no minimum obligation. The only other way I know of...

40" HDTV deal good or bad?

It's seems odd, the only problem I've had with my 811 is every once in a while the audio works but the video is a slide show. To fix it all I have to do is change channels. Seems to only happen every couple of weeks. People complain about this receiver nonstop. I guess I've been lucky...
