    I received a renewal notice for NHLCI from Cox that they are charging $199.00 for the upcoming season. Are other providers charging this much?

    Can you still "move" to NYC and get the east networks?

    As a side benefit, satellite taxes in NY are rather low. Unfortunately the regional sports fee makes up for that.

    I removed the satellite coax from my HR20 before suspending service, and recordings are still watchable a month later.

    AM21 losing local channels??

    I lost only the "dash-1" channels from my favorite list after the recent software update. They were still in the all channel list and I just put them back in the favorite channel list.

    North Carolina D* CI subscriber blacked out of 2 games tonite?!!?

    After the free preview was over a couple of weeks ago, some receivers (including mine) were deauthorized for certain CI channels. I went to the D website and sent reauthorization hits to my receivers and all has been well.

    You could always "move" to Cleveland, then attach an AM-21 OTA receiver to your D* receiver for the MSP OTA stations.

    I'm taking a wag here, but do an initial antenna setup. After entering your zip, the receiver will identify your primary dma as Lansing/Jackson. At that point, there should be a button to enter a second dma which will enable you to load the Detroit/Flint channels too.

    Larger dish for BEV in Arizona?

    The edge of the 91 footprint lies somewhere between Denver and Phoenix. I've tried a 30" dish in Ariz and get no signal at all on the D* transponders. They come in fine in Colo.

    If you're picking up 82 OK, you should get the software download automatically. Just leave the receiver in the "off" position for at least 30 minutes.

    The problem in California and the Southwest US is that you can't get the transponders on N3 that contain the software updates. When you get the 20" reflector (Dish 500) you will be able to look at N2 (82W) and get the update from N2 tr 11. If you don't want to wait, just temporarily re-aim...

    The Colorado Rockies name used by the NHL team in the 70s is now used by the MLB franchise. Suppose Brooklyn Dodgers could be possible.

    Dish 6000 Loses NBA LP Sub

    I had the same problem with NHL CI on my 6000. I got the receiver back in satellite mode and called E* to send me another PPV hit for CI. That did the trick.
