The switch I'm referring to was the one they put in with the 5 lnb dish a few months back when I switched over to MPEG-4 so I assume it's the right one. I'm going to climb up there tomorrow and look at it more closely. Sounds like cascading may be the easiest way to go. Where would I buy one...

How do I go about this? With adding the HR20, I have 3 DVR (6 total feeds) and 3 single tuner boxes but my switch in the attic only have 8 outputs. What to do? Thanks in advance

I have noticed that it is A LOT faster. HD seems to look slightly better but I haven't noticed the improvement in SD that some have mentioned. Bought from Best Buy (w/ 299 credit from D*) and straight from the box no glitches, hang ups, etc. so far.

I called complaining (based on this thread - thanks!) and got my hd fee waived for 6 mos. and an additional 3 mos. $10 credit to offset the superfan cost.

If I'm not mistaken, the one that came with my H20 is strictly an IR remote. DTV told me they would sell me a RF remote for $25. The $400 I was referring to was the harmony RF remote.

don't know - don't have HR20 yet, just planning ahead. I guess I could always buy an RF remote for the H20 since it won't be my primary receiver, but I'd rather have everything controlled by the harmony. They have an RF/IR remote, but I don't feel like dropping $400....

I got an HD receiver, OTA antenna, Tivo for bedroom & install for $200. They also gave me about $150 in programming credits over 6 months. I was an existing customer and simply called threatening to switch.
