    722k EHD not responding...

So after running through some checks, here is where I'm at. When connected to any port on the receiver, it has the same effect. When I remove the drive from the encloser and mount it in Linux, I see the drive and the contents, but it seems slow to respond. I have run some FS checks and they come...

    722k EHD not responding...

Not that I know of. You mean separate programs?

    722k EHD not responding...

Having issues over the last few days. My EHD on my 722k seems like it is dying. Everytime I try to access it through the "my media" link in the dve playback, the screen freezes until a reset is done. The drive Lois like it is being read like crazy during this time. It senses the drive when it...

    What's with CH 9852-BOWL?

From the guide it looks like they opened up the LA nbc affiliate to all subs. No idea why though.

    EHD going into "sleep" mode

I've tried it and it seems that it won't be recognized by the receiver unless I power down the drive as well. Plus the point is not having to phisically unplug the drive to use it. If that was the case, I would just unplug the power to the drive unless I needed it to save wear and tear on the drive.

    EHD going into "sleep" mode

I have a "not supported" EHD connected to my 722k and it seems to go into a disk spin down sleep mode after a few hours of idle time. Usually this is a good thing, except that the receiver loosed the connection to the drive. In order to view the drive is to unplug, power down and reconnect the...

I still want to know what kind of technology are the using to stack three sat streams down one trunk. Higher freq range or different stacking scheme...

    Has This Happen to anyone??

Or in general with the CSC doesn't code the movers correctly. 9 times out of 10 I will spend 30mins to an hour on the phone with CSC to get them to recode the account and reauthorize the receivers. Even then, the old locals would get stuck in the box for 24-48 hours till the new guide...

    211K changed from Dish 500 to 1000.2 - can't find satellites

Correct me if I'm wrong, but will the point dish screen show anything when dialing up 119 if the check switch shows all x's (if you were to checkswitch with nothing connected)? Have you run a new check switch after finding some signal using your meter? You need to do Jim was saying using your...

    CES - DISH Sling Receiver

$15 for a svc call? Tell them your 622 is finiky and hope the tech has a 722? As far as the whole home sling, why can't they just use the homeplug and a 211k? Just use the homeplug to dial up the content on the 722k and stream it. Also, does this require a separate homeplug or will a 722k...

    VIp722K and it's tuners

If you are recording two shows on the same channel right after another, the box will automatically adjust the start/end times and run one recording into the other so it doesn't tie up two turners. You can adjust this by setting up both, and then going into the scheduled recordings screen ( DVR...

    Slow remote advise

It is a software issue. L662 introduced the enhanced program guide to the 722k where you would see the ads in the bottom of the programming guide. Everytime you pull up guide or the new DVR main menu, there would be a lag from the receiver pulling up the VOD information for the ads. This was...

    RG59/U Cable

And tip your tech... I've used RG59 many times. As long as the total length of the wire that is 59 is under 80' then it should hold the signal just fine. Just remember that walls can add up to 12' of length to a cable. Meaning, going up the wall outside, and then down the wall to the jack, you...

    dish combo

Not to mention you would have to do some heavy modification just to fit the LNB on the arm. You would be better off getting the 1000.2 dish and a quick pipe adapter to fit it on your 2" mast.

new dish user with a problem... hi/help!!

I believe you are right. I couldn't remember if the sat co's downresed them for bandwidth issues on most channels or not. The correct broadcast standard usually mandates a 1080i stream, at least OTA broadcasts. Point still remains, there is a great difference between 1080i and 1080p when it...
