Can you mirror Hopper 3 on 2nd TV?

Good discussion, guys! OP here. I haven't gotten my H3 yet, but I have an active splitter I've been using with a 722k to a second TV. I think I'll see if it behaves with the H3. I'm planning on using a Joey on the 2nd TV and a switch so we can watch the H3 OR something different on the Joey. The...

Can you mirror Hopper 3 on 2nd TV?

That's perfect. Funny how such old technology (an A/B switch) will let me switch between my Hopper 3 and Joey in the kitchen like I will need to. We'll probably pass the Hopper through to the kitchen 90% of the time, but if my wife wants to watch something else in the kitchen, she can switch to...

Can you mirror Hopper 3 on 2nd TV?

Thanks for the link, fuzzy. I like the bi-directional aspect of that switch. Plus, it may be more reliable for two sources to one output than the automatic ones. There's a lot of mixed reviews out there about those.

Can you mirror Hopper 3 on 2nd TV?

As a side note, you'd think Dish could figure out how to eliminate the delay in their own equipment!

Can you mirror Hopper 3 on 2nd TV?

n0qcu, thanks for that info! The 2nd TV is, in fact, within earshot, and a delay would be noticeable AND annoying. I've experienced this first hand when I replaced my family room TV a couple of years ago. There was no delay between rooms with the "old" Panasonic and the 2nd TV. Bought a new...

Can you mirror Hopper 3 on 2nd TV?

Thanks for the link, Stardust. Now I know I won't be giving up the flexibility as to what we want to watch on the TV in the kitchen.

Can you mirror Hopper 3 on 2nd TV?

Wow, Bobby I had no idea you "join" the Joey and the Hopper 3. So you would automatically be mirroring what's on the Hopper TV to the 2nd TV. That would be ideal 90% of the time. Once in a while my wife might want to finish watching something she's recorded or watch different programming while...

Can you mirror Hopper 3 on 2nd TV?

Thanks, jsheridan.....an HDMI switch would probably be perfect. It would mirror the Hopper 3 from the family room 90% of the time. If my wife wants to watch something different in the kitchen, recorded or live, she can just switch to output from the Joey. And Fuzzy, just so I'm clear, I'm...

Can you mirror Hopper 3 on 2nd TV?

i have a TV in my kitchen which is adjacent to, but separate from, my family room (722 receiver) My wife and I are used to moving between the two rooms and having the same programming on the 2nd TV (using a powered HDMI splitter) and would like to be able to do that with a Hopper 3 and a Joey...

Mirroring a vip722 hp signal to tv2 that has the sd signal

Consider an HDMI 1x2 splitter I have the same situation-42" Panny in the fqmily room and a 23" Samsung on the other side of the wall in a breakfast room. I considered using the component output , but I didn't want to fight all those cables through the wall. After reading up on this forum, I...
