OK I found the correct answer on the tech forum - as I said on another post.. I should read more before I post. Will hook 129 wing into the 1000.4 lnb/switch input when it warms up Then have the 4 sats on check switch. That should insure I get all the HD I am paying for and my local HD Thanks

I have the 1000.4 dish I wanted to add the single large lnb/dish pointed to 129. I thought I needed the switch OR is there an input in the 1000.4 LNB head.. I asked this on another post. I dont want to buy the DP44 and run separate lines from each LNB. I dont get the new HD channels...

I am on the EA1000.4 So no new HD for me. I had the WA 1000.2 but could not get local HD -- so I had them install the 1000.4 dish. I still have the 1000.2 - I added a big single LNB dish to get 129 better then the stock 1000.2 3 lnb dish. So can I connect my big single dish to my 1000.4...

Great, how about I get a 5dB attenuator? or higher from RS and use that for now until I can get to the amp on the tower/roof? Maybe an adjustable attenuator would be better?.. time of a Google search.

BANG way to go. I just put a splitter in line to feed the OTA tuner. The splitter must offer just enough loss to not over power the tuner. So far my short test-run today - no more drop outs. I cannot get up on the roof to take the amp out the line. I have to get my son to go up there...

Well , all OTA channels were in HD - I switched back and forth between OTA HD and the HD Sat channels.. OTA is in HD for the shows on CBS/ABC but were in SD on the HD SAT. The only channel that was HD from both sources was NBC. Maybe ? Dish only carries the HD content at night to save BW...
