I tried that. DirecTV wouldn't budge. Ended up cancelling the order and having my wife call the local guy and set everything up under her name and cell phone number.

This is getting pathetic. The installer called me back. DirecTV won't let him do the install because there is an existing work order so therefore we aren't a new customer. Great customer service you've got there DirecTV....simply outstanding!!!

You are correct, but their placement demands are such that where we would have to place the dish would not give it the view of the Southern sky it needs. Unless out new neighbor is willing to knock the 2nd story off his house.

and we still have 7 months left on our contract. Any way to get out of paying the cancellation fee? I'm not trying to screw anyone out of their money, but since the HOA won't allow the dish I have no other choice.
