I currently have a 622 with Top 200 channels. My 622 is on its last legs with the HDMI not working (component out works) and now optical audio is not working. Would a DIRT member please contact me on upgrading my 622 to a Hopper with Sling and USB OTA Module. Thank you.

Here is what I did to correct the problem: 1) Deleted all my OTA local channels 2) Soft Reset 3) Re-scan all OTA local channels So far my 811 is not requesting to download local guide data every time I enter the guide. Hope this helps anyone else that is experiencing this issue.

This is correct. However, the software for JP1 remotes will also allow you to change the remote address. To program my 510, I downloaded the codes for a 508 and used the software to change the remote address to 10. Here's more info on JP1 Remotes

Yes. Using a JP1 remote (radio shack 15-2116), I can control both my 811 (on remote address 1) and my 510 (on remote address 10); I use the SAT device key for the 811 and the VCR device key for the 510.
