    SG 2100 Issues

What I found is the motor is off 1/10th of a degree for every degree you tell it to move from 0 (zero position). So my south sat is 95W, tell the motor to go to G18 @ 123W the motor actually goes to 125.8W. I change G18 location to 120.2W so I can still use USALS.

    SG 2100 Issues

DJ Rob What you are seeing is correct. In this new motor zero position cannot be lost like the older sg2100s. They have mounted the zero position sensor in the center of the big gear. On the movement problem, when you manually move the dish in diseqc mode the controller pcb records the...

    SG 2100 Issues

Same problem here also, DMSI digipower sg2100. I have had mulptiple problems with both the hardware and the circuit board inside. (2 months old) I found a thread that says there is a bunch of motors with bad magnets. Its a round magnet on the end of the motor shaft that triggers a hal effect...

    FAVORITE RECEIVER

Tried about 10 different receivers and settled on the Satpros Dsr500s. Stunning video and great audio. Worst I have tried is the new Sonset DTH6500 am radio audio and poor pal to ntsc conversion. Although it has the fastest blindscan Ive seen, but slow channel scan.

    Diplexer

Ok badhat, I'll give it a try, only $7-$15. I wasn't even sure if the motor would behave itself using diplexers.

    Diplexer

Has anybody used a diplexer with an sg2100 and an OTA? I found an Eagle Aspen D2200A thats rated a 2amps and should handle the motor.

Need Help! Arch not tracking Properly

I had a similar symptoms, after removing the motor - found I had tightened the ubolts too much and compressed the pipe. At the time I was using galvanized 16ga fence post. Bought a piece of 2" schedule 40 steel pipe, working good. Rigid 2' conduit is also a good choice and about the same price.

    Help on motor installation

You've done really good so far. Don't have the SG2100. But this may help. Took my dial type angle locator out to my 90cm dish set it in the center of the dish with 0 degree up and it read 20 degrees. My lat is 38.8 which is close. Generally I set the motor a .5 to 1 degree high and go from...

    Receiver motor control

My experience with motors has been varied! Both the single and dual button SG2100 is problematic, when switching between receivers it tends to loose its zero reference. Which forces you to do a manual reset to get back to operational status. Also if you power down the receiver while the dish...

Blind Scan on Visionsat IV 200 PVR ??

Tried that on my Visionsat and was able to receive channels ok but at a lower signal and quality numbers. Motor and switch control does not work, hooked up that way. Looks like you have a bad LNB IN port. Double check your cable end at the receiver, maybe bad connector install, intermittent...

    motor moves east after reset

Grounding helps to protect your house from a lightening strike. ( Its primary purpose). It will also help bleed off static electricity buildup from high winds and lightening activity in the localized area. (this will help to protect the switches and motor). System protection from the elements...

    motor moves east after reset

I agree with the folks above. Set up the receiver first, factory default, make sure motor control is disabled, disable east-west limits, and then setup true south sat. Also disable all switch settings. Now out to the motor to do a reset, use button and goto 0 deg. push reset button for 3...

What receiver and what sat is it tuned to. The motor moves where the receiver tells it to go! Orange LED indicates motor is receiving a command from the receiver. This a new setup or exiting?
