Mine just sh*t the bed as well. Timers are gone, cannot create any inc PrimeTime. I try to save, exit, go back in and it's like I never did any of it. Let's see what tomorrow brings. Oh to be bleeding edge - lol.
Just FYI:
I just noticed tonight that when pressing the INFO button on the H3 remote the option to view the trailer and also the pictures and TV shows/movies that each cast member was going to appear in on Dish are both notoriously absent. I assume it's a software update and there were...
I currently have two original Hoppers with four joeys. I would like to upgrade to hws (Why would I upgrade both of them? I would assume I would only need to upgrade one of them but if a DIRT member could help clear this question up for me I would appreciate it).
Regardless I am ready to make...
I spoke to a DIRT member, added my name to some type of 'non-standard list' (2 hopper and 5 joeys), was told to expect a call and nearly two weeks later I still haven't been called :(.
I'm reading that the Hopper/Joey system is maxed out at 6 (2 hoppers and 4 joeys). We currently have 7 HD receivers connected to 7 HD sets (with 1 HD DVR). Do we have any options to:
a) Use a standalone Dish HD receiver for the 7th HDTV?;
b) Purchase another joey on our own (or is 6 the...
So I would need to run either component cables or HDMI cables from the Hopper/Joey direct to the television then? Hmmm, the run is a decent distance from the closest television and I would have to find a way to then make that run through walls. Not sounding very viable :(.
It sounds like my existing Dish installation of 7 HD receivers (one of those being a DVR) will not work with even a two hopper and four Joey setup since the max is 6 total boxes which leaves my 7th HDTV out in the cold as you cannot mix any Vip receivers with the Hopper/Joey setup. Am I correct...
I have been reading the materials posted here but still haven't ran across our particular configuration so thought I would ask what I hope to be a pretty straightforward question:
We currently have a Dish 722 HD DVR (connected to a single television), and six other HD receivers throughout...
Thank you for the quick response. I currently have the 622, the 211, and two 811's so a total of five tuners if that makes any difference. I just assumed the DPP44 would be needed in a case like this but no, they did not try to bypass the switch.
I *had* a 942 and three 811's until I bought into the 'Dish'n It Up' promo and I had the 622 and the 211 to replace the 942 and one of the 811's. I had a DPP44 already installed for these receivers.
Dish uses a company called 'Blue Sky' to do their installs, etc. First installer comes over...
Bumping this up with another question. The diplexers I have seen all have one antenna and one satellite in and then of course the one connector out that the coax gets reconnected to.
With the Dish 1000, there are four coax cables coming off the Dish itself. Does it matter at all which of...
...to connect the OTA antenna to the existing coax, and then use more diplexors (one on each receiver in the house) to be able to get both satellite *and* OTA HD locals on each television?
If this is something I can't do I'll probably pass on OTA as I do not want to run even more coax into...
I've tried to search and read as much as I can and I think I have the answer but want to make sure.
I currently have 3 811's and a 942 DVR, running into a DP44 (I own one of the 811s). My DP44 switch is full and I want to add two more receivers to my setup (just basic non-HD receivers so...
Forget post of the day. This has the potential to be post of the year ... on *any* forum related to *anything*.
Aside from the fact that I damn near spewed coke out of my nose while reading it, it is so poignant it's scary.
I especially like this part: "While satelliteguys.us is a fine...
SSDD with Dish. Whoever got their hopes up for their announced February 942 release timeframe is an eternal optimist.
I hope it doesn't come out for six more months. Now THAT would be humor. :p
If I can't lease a 942 as an existing customer who has paid thousands of dollars to Dish as a very loyal customer of Dish Network, I will cancel Dish. Period.
Not trying to threaten or anythying else, just stating fact. I find the notion of sh*tting on your loyal customers absurd and don't...
...requesting an upgrade (as ridiculous as that sounds I swear that goes on based on all the posts here).
Anyway, I have a standard DVR and I *had* 3 301's. I called and got the same BS. I then went to the e-mail addy that everyone posts and got help. I was able to get 2 811's in exchange...
...value are left in the cold again.
On a related note, Charlie has provided a new date for adding additional HD content. Now lucky customers waiting to view new HD channels will get their chance to do just that in 2008, coinciding with the release of the *new* 942 HD-DVR unit.
:p
Valid point. Still you have to add that if you're buying the thing so doesn't change the way it *should* go for existing customers that do want the 942. :)
