I have a question, can we use a different generic lnbf for Anik F1 107.3W satellite instead of KUSAT F1x twin offered by Kusat? Perhaps an lnb with the same technical specs than the Kusat F1x twin. Or definitely there's no other lnb that can be used?

My question was more along the lines of how does the receiver communicate to the LNB which polarity it wants (unless vertical is always the default polarity). I'm given to believe that there were different switching schemes employed depending on the Primestar LNB used.
