There is currently no minimum obligation to sign up with Dish Network, so no early disconnect fee at all. I agree that Directivo is a better system than Dish Network's DVR, but you don't have to pay any up front cost for the DVR with Dish, and it's a 2 tuner, 2 room solution. I'm not sure...

no, If you get a Club DIsh card and refer someone else, you'll get a free move. It won't get you any extra receivers in the apartment, but when you move you can then cancel and not break your contract, and sign up in your wife's name.

I would get a club dish card and use it to get a referal. This gives you one free move. If you are maried you can sign up in your wife's name once you get to the new house and get the receivers you want with no out of pocket expense, and no minimum obligation. The only other way I know of...

It's seems odd, the only problem I've had with my 811 is every once in a while the audio works but the video is a slide show. To fix it all I have to do is change channels. Seems to only happen every couple of weeks. People complain about this receiver nonstop. I guess I've been lucky...

Maybe call the local install office, and speak to a supervisor to get someone back out who really knows what they're doing. My latest install required 5 seperate trips by installers, but I wanted, what I wanted bad enough to bug the supervisoer until they made it happen.

I would have to agree. I've got a really long run on my 811. From the dish to the switch is 50ft or so, then another 120+ ft to my reciever. I only have problems when the dish gets bumped out of alignment. Which happens too often now that we're staying in an apartment until our new house is...

There are RF modulators available that allow you to output to any channel. That would eliminate any chance of the to feeds interfering with each other.
