Finally trying the Cox Cloud DVR

After years of trying to get accurate information from Cox about their Cloud DVR, I finally found someone who knew what he was talking about. Unfortunately he was out to lunch when I showed up at the local store. The kid who approached me when I walked in the door, insisted I would need to get...

    Terrible call to DiSH

Gotta disagree. Mostly, you are certainly right. But sometimes the money and effort are put in to the up conversion. Thankfully, I am now CRT free. Got rid of my last 27” and 32” with a deal for help from others. They DID have superb SD pictures. Hated to say goodbye.

    Adding another Joey questions

200; feet away from the Dish? The Hopper or the Hub?? If all the cabling is up to par, it could work. I did one about that far once at a farm, adding a Joey to the barn

That would have been a guy from my company, based on where it says you live. May or may not have been my office. You're kind've on the boundary line between Bloomington and Mt Vernon offices.

I know this will ruffle some feathers but,,,,

I spend enough time there that we pay for YT Premium, I just have no interest in any of those creators and few if any of the ones I regularly watch make sense to add. Of course, my kids gotta mess up my recap... All that volcano watching tho! lol.

    Terrible call to DiSH

Depends upon how much effort they put into up converting. Also, the TV. I watched a bit of Father Goose on my 2005ish Samsung 55”er. Then on my 2018 Sony 65”er. Watchable on both. Better on Sony.

Looks like Netflix/Warner Bros. is happening.

I mean, as technology and trends advance how many of these things would just be lost / go away if they didn't merge? WB is going away regardless, just a matter of who the bidder will be and how many parts it has to be chopped into. I'm not concerned about things getting more expensive, if the...

Looks like Netflix/Warner Bros. is happening.

It was FM radio before that. Clear Channel (now iHeart) was allowed to swallow up a majority of terrestrial radio stations in nearly all markets in the late 90's. Now radio is sh*t.

Looks like Netflix/Warner Bros. is happening.

Just look at the conglomeration of local TV stations? Handful of companies own the majority of them, some own 2 or 3 affiliates in some cities. Then we wonder why satellite carry fees exploded in the last 10 or 20 years?

depending on ones t.v. size i don't know anyone that could watch a standard def picture on a big screen. id'e go blind trying to do it :biggrin :coco;). the HD PQ and the upconvert are a huge plus!!!

Looks like Netflix/Warner Bros. is happening.

Letting Netflix buy a major competitor in a narrow field? Leaving only Disney as major competition? Not seeing Amazon as major competition. Yet, anyway.

    5g interference

This won't necessarily help those actively trying to handle signal issues, however it is a very good explanation of how and why 5G issues are occurring. http://www.satmagazine.com/story.php?number=2132459167 Everyone else's mileage may vary.

No Raw is in Netflix. Outside the US all WWE is on Netflix this includes Smackdown and all PLE’s. I use a VPN to watch them. AEW is international not just the US. Their PLE’s air on all providers however their home is HBo Max in the US.
