Need Help - Paraclipse 12 F Von Weiss Motor Gera outside Board

Just FYI mine is still floating around in there...LOL.....if you need more pics of that board redsealovers, send me a PM because I don't stop in every day where I'd see it. I changed the reed again here recently and had to use one from an actuator that isnt nearly as accurate, but it works, and...

Winegard 10-foot (8 panel) Pinnacle Perf Antenna

DAMMIT man, this kills me. Just a cpuple years ago I threw away a rusted pinnacle mount because the square tube rusted from within. The "L" brackets were perfect and I said to myself, self, you should keep these. Nope, to the scrap pile they went. Hope ya get it sorted Mike.

Help needed for calibrating and setting up a Paraclipse satellite dish

There's your answer. Mike knows. My Paraclipse is a horizon to Horizon mount so it looks like nothing like that. I did notice this dish has the quad leg conversion, so someone did an upgrade sometime in its long life time. I love my paraclipse. Its been dialed in for almost 15 years and it...

    Paraclipse 12 Mesh

Search my username I completely rehabbed one years ago that's still in use. New clips and all. Paraclipse was the finest dish I ever rehabbed. Mine has the H-to-H mount on it, though. Have any questions, ask. Mine was installed originally in 1987, the quad leg conversion was a retrofit kit, I...

    New 24" Actuator

From what I have been able to discern... "windynation" is an alternative energy supply retailer. I've read that 'our' actuators and sometimes dish mounts are used with banks of solar panels to 'follow the sun' with the actuator as the day goes by. I saw that actuator on big amazon too and was...

    Orbitron 10ft Teardown

Id bet the reflector will move without taking it apart, and it wont be that heavy. I'd go put some PB Blaster on all the bolts a couple days before I get the dish, or I'd plan to bring big breaker bars and break some bolts off. The mount will be heavier, and you can take it apart some after you...

11ft Fiberglass Dish - Star View Systems

Those old systems were built like tanks. I have my parents first dish circa 1981 and it was so overbuilt it was just comical. The dishes themselves were so heavy they eventually droop like a teardrop, some of them so bad you can SEE it, much less the massive gap in the strings when ya string it...

    Building a C-band mount

I am sure it IS wacked Jody. it HAS been stored taken apart since 1986 or so, I painted it and assembled it on the floor of my shop one time before, thinking I had all the mount parts at my parent's house, by the time I got to look...the only thing I found was the feed leg brackets for the dish...

    Building a C-band mount

I had a winegard mount and ended up having to trash it because it rusted out from the inside...I know I'd need to build the square tube for the dish but the declination and elevation adjustments that Winegard uses are needlessly complex, IMO, especially when ya trying to shop build something...I...

    Building a C-band mount

Anyone have plans or know where I can get plans? All my dishes save 1 are H-to-H mounts and I have an old 10' dish with no mount whatsoever, just petals...it was my parents dish circa 1981 and I'd like to see the old girl suck some c-band again for old times sake... I have welding equipment...

    Paraclipse Clips

What he said. Mike helped me with mine when i did it, roll of galvanized electric fence wire, and some time cutting them and bending and you are in business. Almost ten years later they are still holding up fine, dish is still doing its thing, too.

    Paraclipse 3.8 on H to H mount restoration/installation

I thought I went through mine before I put it up....you sir are a beast for tearing that motor housing apart...I hope mine outlives me, that doesn't look like fun at all!

    What Dish Is This?

Thats a Raydx dish. Made in Florida. Thats why it has all stainless hardware. I scrapped one that a hurricane did a number on the mesh and bent some ribs from a pine tree that landed close enough to brush it.

Cleaning off oak tree lichen off 10ft dish

What he said. I scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed my dishes with every solvent known to man, and they were never as clean as this spring when I got the pressure washer. Bleach and liquid tide in a garden sprayer, wet them down with that, then hit them with 3000psi of pressurized water...squeaky...

12 ft Paraclipse Classic Polar T Antenna

I did my mesh by myself. Long as you watch what you are doing, and follow the diagram for the sequence of mesh clips, you will be fine. And Yeah, I am with ya on heat and humidity, I did mine in the summer in Louisiana, and even inside my shed with fans it was still unbearable at times. Hang...

Since nobody's asked, WHERE in Florida are you and how much are you looking to get from it all?

12' Paraclipse or 9' solid Birdview, your opinions please.

If you want to do both C and Ku, use the BV. If you require absolute C-band performance, use the Para. My BV has a c/Ku quad orthomode feed on it, and its 90 percent of the dish the Paraclipse is on C-band. I could pull feeds some guys with 10's couldn't. The BV will require a LOT more tuning...

How to move a 12' Paraclipse without taking it apart.

Standing up is pretty much your only option. Laying down you will be hanging over 4 feet too wide. Now, if you are in a small town with understanding constabularies, you might could get away with it. Do it early in the morning, on a Sunday even, so even less traffic. But in most places I think...

Is there any satellite receiver that can control Motorized, Potentiometer feed ?

Its POSSIBLE. I asked here on SatGuys and someone had an old CM dish mover that would move my Saginaw with the pot on it. We made a deal, and its still pushing the old dish around two years later. It just depends on how dedicated you are. Its easier just to buy a new actuator and a gbox and be...

I can't get AMC8 and Gol TV on AMC 1

No because its not publicly posted on this website. We dont share channel info in the open here. But just in general terms there's over 1000 PID's on that transponder, and depending on the receiver they dont all log. My Dreambox was one of the few that did, but the Dreambox doesn't play them...

    C/Ku Feedhorn

Well a c/ku horn will work, but it won't get EVERYTHING on Ku, some of the weaker stuff will be harder to get but if the dish is tuned really well and the LNB is tweaked in the scalar it will be just fine for 99% of FTA uses. The circular is accomplished by putting a teflon slab into the throat...
