    Fear of Poles

Perhaps this is why I've never installed a pole for a satellite dish.

    SES-1

This didn't seem to have an effect. However now the signal is "fading in" which is odd to say about satellite signals. As the afternoon turns into evening and the temperature goes down, the Weigels come up. The signal is strong enough on the Edision that I could scan the tp with the new SR. I'm...

    SES-1

I cleared channels on 101W SES1 from my GT Media V9 Prime and did a complete blind scan. There are the Weigels! Not stable yet but they all scanned in with SQ 70%. Later tonight reception usually gets stronger. I'll try your suggestion.

    SES-1

So I've tuned all I can. I am solidly locking 4005 (10.8 dB), 4020 (10.0 dB), 4030 (9.7 dB), 4048 (9.5 dB), 4080 (9.5 dB), 4120 (10.8 dB), 4140 (6.4 dB). But 4180 is just flickering my SNR reading: not anywhere near locked and certainly not viewable. I'll see how it looks later tonight.

Using the same dish and same LNB (Avenger universal PLL), I can lock and listen to WPR with my GT Media V9 Prime but I can't detect the signal with my Edision Mio+.

No signal. I rescanned. Still nothing here. I manually entered the new SR. But I am seeing flashes of signal. Time to get busy tweaking...I find precise placement of LNB combined with skew makes a big difference.

I'm tuning my dish for 101W now. I agree the signal is gone at the moment. I bet it comes back pretty soon. Daystar is 10.6 dB prior to peaking things.

SES1 at 101W here can be received on my 7.5-foot Perfect dish. The footprint near Vancouver is a couple of dB lower at about 39 dBW than on the east coast. Previously, if I tuned azimuth, elevation, LNB skew and placement just right, then I could lock and receive the Weigel channels without...

Stab vs Digipower Motors: Which to use?

I now have two motorized Ku dishes. It's nice to catch a little farther on the eastern arc side. Regarding the MOIO syndrome, have you tried resetting the Digipower and also ensured the cable isn't too long resulting in low voltage at the motor? On my Stab, USALS works better than moving via...

    Edision mio+ 4K Tuner (?) issue

That plugin was introduced with TNAP6. It isn't in earlier images.

Stab vs Digipower Motors: Which to use?

I now have the new Stab HH120 installed. It's a nice motor that can handle my heavy 41" dish compared against my SG2100 that's been in service for 14 years. The heavy duty Stab seems like it could handle even a 1.2m dish. Specs for the Stab are to handle up to 37 lbs of dish. Using just USALS...

Stab vs Digipower Motors: Which to use?

For all of the above, I absolutely plan to install the Stab HH120. The SG2100 is a good motor but it has always been a little overwhelmed by even a heavy 1m dish let alone a 1.2m dish. Though it did turn my 1.2m when I used it for that. My current SG2100 has the 42mm mast stub. I'm not worried...

    Edision mio+ 4K Tuner (?) issue

I always reboot the Edision, like Windows, at least once/day, usually in the morning. Standard operating procedure (SOP). I just find both types of devices work better when this is done.

Stab vs Digipower Motors: Which to use?

In the mail coming to me are a couple of motors. I have a shipment with one Stab HH120 and one Digipower SG2100 en route to me. The Stab is new in the box; the Digipower is used but in good condition. Which motor would you install if given this choice? I'm going to use one of these initially for...

    Edision mio+ 4K Tuner (?) issue

I agree with Brct203. Try what he says first. Although TNAP6 is good, I still get unexplained things happening occasionally. I have almost the same setup as you but I don't experience the issues you describe even when using the T2MI driver with TNAP6. How long is the cable from receiver to...

    Control C-band actuator remotely?

My VBox7 manual says I can have the receiver automatically move the actuator by connecting the VBox in line between receiver and actuator. Diseqc commands are sent by the receiver to the VBox which translates them to pulses for the actuator. So when you remotely select a different satellite...

Any way to get rid of awful Anime image in TNAP?

There seems to be more to the story. This location has two images called bootlogo.mvi and bootlogo_.mvi. They are the same image as below. Similar but not quite as 'interesting'. So the final image being used must be located elsewhere. .mvi files can be opened using PotPlayer.

    WANTED Stab HH-90

As finicky as Ku band HH motors are, they are still worth their trouble. They are relatively inexpensive and if you have a stable mount, they can stay relatively accurate for a long time. Your fixed dishes are hitting the main satellites, but you're still missing good ones like 123W, 117W, 115W...

    WANTED Stab HH-90

I am on track to source a Stab HH120 from a Canadian source. It is new in the box. But it looks like it was distributed by Fortec Star. I guess Stab partnered with other companies to increase their distribution.

Kijiji, eBay, and Craigslist dishes for you to take a look at

When camping with an RV, I've had better luck using an external independent tripod on the ground. A dish on your RV roof is often blocked by trees since you have little choice where to park your RV in a campground.

Need some help - 8 foot Unimesh install

The GT Media V9 already has a tool in the receiver to create .m3u playlists. So this is not required. The question is what can one do with the created .m3u file? We want to be able to play a 4:2:2 stream on the big screen TV. This may not be possible.
