Got quite a bit of snow here, ~9" cumulatively over a couple days (that's a lot for TN). Should have taken a picture of the 10 footer with the initial snow covering, ~6-8" over 75% of the dish (zilch reception at that point, not even Daystar on 101W). The Ku dishes didn't have too much (other than on the LNBs!), steady reception the whole time, lost C band until I cleared the snow off, twice... Post pics if you got 'em!

That's most likely due to the weight of the snow throwing off the aim of the dish. I use my battery Ego+ leaf blower to blow off my dish. IF it's super wet, I use an extendable window brush to brush it off.

Been snowing every day for weeks. The pictures don't do justice on how much snow is actually on the ground. The smaller black mesh shows as the snow is dripping off the dish right to what appears to be the ground, when in actuality, during the summer, i can drive my zero turn riding mower underneath the lip of both black mesh dishes.

The nice thing is, its so cold usually during the winter, that our snow is very light and easy to clear.

All photos in all posts are impressive. I have nothing to show; we've not had a single flake of snow (yet) this season. It's hardly gone below the freezing point here. Daffodil bulbs are poking out of the ground. Climate change? This morning is 48 F with bright sun.

I see these dishes as eye-catching beauties. ;)

k4otl Is the motorized Ku band dish enough to catch all birds ? I can't catch some TPs even with my 39" dish
Eh so at it's current location it can't see anything worthwhile east of 87W. I only use it for 87,117,123W. I think something isn't aligned right, I need to realign for 87W, but when it's dialed in:
On 87W it receives Newsource feeds just fine, Florida Channel and Lottery feed are borderline, no margin for rain fade.
On 117W it receives BVN and other non-interesting channels just fine, struggles with BYU TV, again, no margin for rain fade.
On 123W it tends to do fine, KBS World comes in with decent margin. 117W seems to be a bit weaker.
On 97/99/101/105 it pulls in all the channels generally in good weather. I have fixed 36" dishes on those (either main or sidecar LNBs) so I don't bother with the motor.
Really haven't used the motor much lately, just been doing 101W (C & Ku) mainly

This thread has made it occur to me that I don't have a lot of pictures of my dishes in the snow. Here's a few I managed to find of some of them with snow present.
