See if your TV has sync setting. I am able to sync to H3 using the Vizio TV settings, under audio.

Be aware that the "problem" with your equipment (not their) is the same for most Bluetooth devices. Otherwords, it is the Hopper. I tried to get fixes for the same issue that was happing with multiple TV / soundbars and somehow it is always my equipment not theirs.

Well I didn't get 309 last night. Still 308. But I did get 2 more error 4 recordings. At least dish is making sure everyone gets something.

The part of this issue that is interesting is that despite the fact recordings are failing, my dish bill still shows a DVR fee. I believe that if dish were refunding all those fees for a DVR that is unreliable for recording, there would be a bigger sense of urgency in getting this fixed.

I have not had 1 timer to fire since Thursday night. PTAT timers are ok but not one show from single or reoccuring. I have done both reset and plug boots. In the schedule it shows it as having been recorded.

Check the number of timers you have. Mine acted similar when I transferred 194 timers into the H3. It will allow only 200 timers, so the number of available tuners will not make a difference if you are at your timer limit.

I did have a slingbox with an old H2000 and the timers from my HWS were transferred to the H3. Thanks.

Sunday night recordings had the same thing. There were recordings that wouldn't play. In the bottom right corner it would show the recording was recorded by a serial number ending 94 95. The OK recordings stated they were recorded by "Living Room 1".

I understand not having icons for awhile is a waiting game. Dish considers not having over half of your tuners available a hardware issue. Waiting wont fix a hardware issue.

I had an H3 installed this morning. The install went well. Ran new cabling, added a wing (500 dish) for the 77° locals, got to keep the 40.0 remote. Signal strength is higher with the hybrid. The hub was put by the TV not by the dishes. Checked the TV activity screen and it shows 2 tuners not...

I would like to get H3 to replace HWS.

I currently use a HWS and mirror through component to the bedroom TV. Would I need a hub, but no tap? Current dish picks up 72, 77, 61.5 (Louisville, KY locals). I assume all outputs on H3 are live allowing mirroring.

Thanks to all that responded. It was the fact that the 50 & 52 didn't appear to have the colored buttons that made me curious as to whether they were being used in carbon. I downloaded carbon last night. Looks pretty impressive. I think that when I go to the H3 I will stick with the harmony remote.

Does carbon do away with the colored shortcut remote functions and leave you with only navigation / select? Thanks,

I have run the check switch, reset and unplug reset. Still no icons. I have had replacements before and I know that the icons don't show up immediately but 3 days seems to be too long to wait.

I got a replacment Hopper 3 days ago and the icons are not yet showing up in the dvr listing, guide, etc. Is there something I can do to get them back?

I cannot find what triggers it. Sometimes it just appears with no activity. The bedroom TV has a bigger "zoom" format so I just see the tips of the symbols.
