Can I share DISH line with cable modem?

Diplexers are frequency filters that only pass high frequencies to one output and low frequencies to the other. In your installation they combine and split the TV2 output and the satellite in signals so only one cable is required to the receiver. Diplexers usually don't work well with cable...

setting up satelite (dishnetwork) for RV

Aim it at 119 or 110, run check switch and you should get the programing on whichever one you're aimed at. When you connect it back up at home, you'll have to run check switch again.

setting up satelite (dishnetwork) for RV

You can use EA or WA with your receiver. The problem is, you won't get your locals if they're on a satellite you aren't receiving. With an RV that shouldn't be a big deal because when you leave your home spot beam area you'll loose them anyway. To use a dish that's different than your home...

    Will this setup work?

Yes, it should work. TV's 4 and 5 will only be SD and will have to watch the same channel. If TV's 3 and 6 are in different rooms the remote will be a problem. Why not a second 722 for TV's 3 and 6? Yes, the 612 has coax out. With the 722 in single mode you have all the functions using #2...

Moving receiver between two locations? -Help

You need to point the dish at exactly the right spot to get reception. Look up the pointing coordinates for your zip code at dishpointer.com. You'll need to know what type of dish you're using. If you have HD and only one dish then it's probably a 1000.2. Set the elevation angle and skew on...

Best Signal Strength Meter for RVing

Spend a few hundred more and go for a Birdog. They positively identify the satellites and send switch commands to the lnb's assuring that you're receiving the correct satellite on each lnb. They're a little pricey, but they eliminate all the guesswork. I saved the cost of mine in liquor alone...

Will it work on my setup

Oops, just reread your post. You can't use a separator with two different receivers. You should be able to connect one receiver to each connection. You'll still have to run check switch to set the receivers for the different lnbs.

Will it work on my setup

You need a dish pro plus separator at the receiver. It looks like a splitter but it's really a frequency filter made for dish pro plus equipment. You can pick them up for a couple of dollars on ebay. The separator is installed on the two inputs at the receiver then one cable is run from the...

    Some problems pointing

You're probably picking up 119 on the 110 lnb. This is a common problem when pointing a multi-lnb dish. Mark the present location so you can come back to where you are if things go south. Then swing the dish about 9 degrees to the left and see if you get a signal. Sometimes it helps to cover one...

    DPP & 61.5

You need another dish, either a dish 500 or 300 with a single or dual lnb pointed at 61.5. Then a coax from that dish to the input of the 1000.2, run check switch and you're good to go.

    Mobile aiming/Dish 1000

My guess is that you're picking up the two satellites on the wrong lnb's. This is a common problem when aiming a multi-lnb dish. Sometimes it helps to cover two of the lnbs with foil so you're sure the signal is coming through the correct lnb. The dish likely needs to be moved to the right more...

Help with an Army football tailgate

The skew needs to be set so there is no skew or flat. There's a scale on the dish for setting it, and you should set it at 90 on the scale. It should already be set there if you've been using it as a wing dish for 61.5. To align the dish, make sure the mounting post is plumb, set the elevation...
