Per month, yes. I asked for a year for $60 per radio or turn it off....tired of calling every 5 months. Numerous friends of mine received that deal, guess they weren’t in the mood that day.

I just called to cancel and they would only do 5 months for $25. So as with DirecTV, bye bye.

Well not only did "Charlie" beg on cancellation day (Wednesday), but "he" just called back 72 hours later to please come back. What a dumb business model. Btw, the 311 receiver went for $75 on e-bay.

That explains why he's the #2 provider and I waited so long to join. So long Charlie.

Obviously you don't read previous posts very often. I said I'm perfectly willing to SIGN up for the PROMOTION for 18 MONTHS JUST like everyone else. I'm not currently, nor have I ever been, UNDER a contract with E* in other words give me the #$%^ DVR and I'll sign the dotted line. Geez.

Fortunately I'm single lol, and that won't work. I'll just keep D* and commit to another year through the mover's program and E* will call a week later offering anything I want to come back. What a dumb way to do business.

I've had E* for about 6 months (and D* for years) and had bought the equipment (311) outright to avoid a contract. However I'm about to move and need to pick one of the two and WAS going to go with E* but I want a DVR, the only problem is E* says go to your local retailer and buy one for $399...

Is it possible to sell a month old 311 receiver or is the unit itself "married" to me?

I've always been curious to know how it works and it seems after 21 posts no one can agree, all I know is I've had Sirius since October '04 and it works GREAT for me. An occasional drop out here and there if I drive under alot of trees at a particular time of day, but I just drove to Florida...

That's not the point. If you take your car to get the oil changed, you don't expect to have to give the guy directions on how to do it. If I pay for an install it had better be done right....that's the point of having someone install it.

You're kidding right? It's not the customer's responsibilty to know where to put the dish to get the best signal....that's the whole point of having it installed.

I currently have D* and was wondering if the local channels on E* are numbered by actual channel number or are in the 9000's as their web page indicates? For instance is Fox41 on channel 41?

I believe in Santa Claus. Maybe God will have that channel added for me....
