To survey a site for possible interference from power lines, just take a portable radio under the line. If there is high voltage leakage it will tear up most of the AM band. If it is real bad it will get into the FM band. A call to the power co. might get it repaired, although they treat these...
CNN uses this bird for "across the pond" news feeds when there are events in Europe. Also Royal Family events are often seen here. Even Ballet performances occasionally on Saturday mornings, but nothing regular.
That is how I found it first time around. I'm using a 1.2m Channel Master mounted upside down. The elevation markings are now inside out and backwards. Finally found 30w and knew where I was. My neighbor hit the dish with his riding lawnmower, I didn't dare complain since he was mowing my lawn...
A couple of years ago about 12 premium channels opened up and lasted about two months.
Sponge, of the channels you are getting which is the strongest? I need to re-point my T-12 dish and my sat meter does not do S-2 signals making it difficult to find this bird.
You could possibly convert it into a prime focus dish by inverting the feed and fabricating a mount, or re-use parts from another dish. The spun aluminum would be a great accurate reflector and worth the trouble.
Here is a post launch statement.
SpaceX attempted to land the first stage on an autonomous spaceport drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean after stage separation. While the rocket made it to the drone ship, it landed hard. Unfortunately we weren’t able to get good landing video because of the dark...
My local temperature is sensed at the airport, sent across the internet to who knows where, and is displayed in the upper left corner screen of my STB running E2 firmware. All for free.
Most of the FTA receivers I've seen have "switching" power supplies in them and will work on a wide range of voltage and freq. I'll say it will probably work ok.
FaT your idea of diode protected splitter would work. Here is a 4 way for satellite service.
$8.99 from here.
A switch would have almost the same loss as a good splitter, and you won't have to go in the basement every time. One restriction, the unused receivers would have to be off or parked...
Those original LNBs are good and will probably last another 20 years. This ideal over shoving some aftermarket chinese lnb into the holder. The original is matched with the oval shape of your dish. For $6 you can buy a high quality Zinwell switch from E-bay. These are surplus new stock for use...
Probably the best use ever for the STOS DVD cases. The material is of course timeless, but the media they published it on sucks! Double sided discs with no labels, instead an accompanying card with little to say, and cases that are impossible to close properly. The VHS release had better media...
The member "Pendragon" who posts occasionally on this board has done this with his 1.8m dishes. He has a few posts up about this somewhere. Maybe he will reply to this thread.
Well they had it buried at midnight Sundays only. I do wonder why I never saw the show in it's original run (probably on too late for kids) or some re-run over the years.
Titan has The Fugitive listed as showing at 1:30 am (presumably CST) on WCIU-DT4. They list the network as "METOO". Would that be the same as MEtv2 that is on the Weigel mux?
Ok, thanks everybody. I was just a little bored, but your suggestions wake me up to the ton of programing we have.
T, I will admit we have DTV in the house via my wife. I never watch it except TBS once in a while. Everything else I can get FTA.
