    Getting the lowest price!!!

I've been an avid e-bay shopper for about 15 years. But I hate to bid. And I have found out how to do it. I wanted to pass it on. I know its not rocket science. The previous thread spoke of how high prices have gotten for everything. And it put down Radio Shack, in particular. I have...

    Loading factory file (9200HD)

Been running true fta (c/ku band) since last summer. Decided to upgrade my viewing so purchased older Pansat 9200HD with "illuminati" board. Runs perfectly. Installed new DVB-S2 board. But RTN stations on AMC3 (87W) pixillate, freeze up and require reboot of receiver when quality below 65%...

    What would MPEG4 get me???

I've been trying to patiently wait for new options. And I see others making the jump to HD receivers. But I can't understand from reading lyngsat if the transition is worth it. Is MPEG4 the way fta is headed or is it probably a dead end? I'm presently running standard definition fta...

Solid versus mesh dish for ku

Was just viewing the previous thread and didn't really want to hijack it. So has anyone experimented with solid versus mesh dishes for ku? Right now I'm noticing my ku quality is significantly lower than c-band quality on my 10 foot perfect ten mesh dish. I've adjusted and adjusted the lnb...

    Coax too long for motor????

The wire run to my BUD is 200 feet. I have a second coax I want to run to a ku dish and motor. It is 200 feet, also. My ku dish is a heavy Primestar 36 inch dish. I bought a DG380 from Sadoun because my dish weighs 27 lbs. with the lnb. The motor is rated to move a 31 lb. load. I expect...

    On the arc?????

Here's my problem. About a year ago, I set up my c/ku band perfect 10 dish. I used 123W as my reference satellite and set the dish up again about twenty-five miles from where it was originally. After several adjustments, I was getting sixteen satellites, both c and ku band. They are 127W...

    HH motor on Primestar Oval??

I was thinking about turning the bracket on the primestar dish upside down and using an hh motor to power the dish. It would seem all you need do it shim up the motor shaft to accomodate the larger pipe. Has anyone done it?

    Rotor installation suggestion for OTA

This past weekend while putting in a digital converter box I found what I thought was an excellent way to install a rotor motor. A pipe had been driven into the ground next to a mobile home. About a foot was sticking out of the ground. The rotor was bolted to the pipe with the two u-bolts...
