One quick question can I record without a Tivo subscription? I never use the Tivo features I just menu and press record. Just tring to save 5 bucks a month. I had Dish and you dident have to pay to DVR. Thanks

Ok dumb question bet when I am scanning the sky's and I get a signal how can you teel what bird you have? I guess this goes back to another thought I never really figured out the USALS thing how does it know where to go once I select a bird to point at. This is on a pansat 2550a with a 2100...

Wouldent the cover build up the freezing rain on top and then block the signal? I like the roof heat tape idea. Hmmmm. Thanks all!!

Ok I need one of those heater pads for my dish a rain/snow storm clogged up the dish and I wasnt about to go climbing up there. Any ideas where to get one? Thanks!

Steve I have the Samsung Tivo for DirecTV 40hr. What a piece of Junk. I have to reboot the unit about twice a week. The playback will freeze and the unit will lock up. I have also encountered where the picture turns black and white and a reboot is needed to fix this problem also. Two thumbs down...

Ok here is what I did. Mounted it right next to the KU came inside and switched from USALS to 1.2 moved dish and ah ha!! Now explain to me the dif between USALS and 1.2? Thanks again to everyone.

Well i tired this this am and my dss lnb has to be pointed at a 45deg angle in front of the ku for me to get signal. Hmmm. I treid mounting it to the side of the ku and pointing it's focal point at the same as the ku and nothing. Starting to fustrate me.

I am having a heck of a time getting my 2nd lnb mounted to my dish and be able to use it. I got my switch today and it works fine but the 2nd lnb has to be in front of the KU for me to get signal. The dss lnb also is pointing way heigher than the KU. Any suggestions? Is there a dss lnb that can...

Ok I have a 30inch dish with a SG2100 and one KU LNB and one DSS LNB. My questions is can I hook one lnb to port one and the second lnb to port 2 of the switch and then run just one coax back to the pansat? Anyone ever tried this? Thanks
