    Not all receivers will accept a LAN connection. If I'm not mistaken, only the 722, 622 and the 612 will support ethernet. Do you have one of these? If so, then it's just a matter of running the cable from the receiver to your router or hub device.

    I have both a 722 and a 322 and only the 722 has a phone line. Upon ordering, I was informed that they would waive the no phone line fee. So, they will waive the fee, but you have to negotiate it.

    You can get a compression tool with connectors just like the "professionals" have. I picked mine up at Lowes for about $20.
