    guide sorted "backwards"

    This isn't a big deal, but when you hit the guide button the channels are listed with the lowest channel on the buttom, making you page up to go through the list. I'm so use to paging down to get the higher channels that it's a bit annoying. Is this something with just the 522 or is that the way...

    I have the installer here today and i noticed that the dish he put up is a 500...don't new customers get superdishes? won't i need a superdish to get locals?

    necessity of phone line?

    i know you need a phone line to recieve updates. how often do you actually need the line to be connected? The reason i ask is that the closest working phone line is in a different room than my tv. I eventually will run a line to the tv, but in the mean time, if i only need it hooked up...

    well...i was all excited this past saturday. I was moving to a new house and the dish guy was supposed to come between 8 and 12 to install my dish and get me all set up. well...i got a call around 11 or so from the installer saying that his boss handed him the order late and he didn't know...

    40" HDTV deal good or bad?

    :confused: If I've done my research correctly, the 40" HDTV that Dish is offering for $999 is the same as the D40W20 RCA tv, just with Dish's name on it and a little different remote. I've read mixed reviews about whether or not it is a good tv since RCA isn't known as the most reliable...
