Dish Anywhere FireStick and iPhone Not Working

Update on DANY issue Not sure what Josh did or who he got involved with the problem but it is 100% working now on iPhone and when I head for Bristol races in a little over a week I'll confirm if it is also once again working on FireStick! Josh thank you very much for taking charge of this...

How to tell a 1000.4 vs 1000.2 Dish?

Thanks, my local ACE is maybe more like a deuce or a trey but I'll have to go have a look.

How to tell a 1000.4 vs 1000.2 Dish?

Where'd you come up with all the various wingnuts? Would like to switch mine out to that on my Motorhome setup. Carry and EA and WA LNB so that can get reception damn near anywhere. Can usually be setup up and peaked within about 10-15 minutes but tool less would make that process even quicker!

Dish Anywhere FireStick and iPhone Not Working

If only all support reps did that or if companies realized they'd have more satisfied customers if they encouraged their support people to do so.

Dish Anywhere FireStick and iPhone Not Working

I'll happily accept honesty any day of the week, it's when I'm confronted with total BS or those who won't admit they don't know what I am speaking of or what the answer is and just try to blow me off that infuriates me to no end. My tolerance level for BS is low and for stupid even lower. One...

Dish Anywhere FireStick and iPhone Not Working

Multiple times once of my own choice and others with support connected even though I had indicated that this had already been attempted. While I know my network is not the typical home network, the support techs can't seem to get their heads around the most basic of network terminology.

Dish Anywhere FireStick and iPhone Not Working

Hopper is wired GigE and there is a static DHCP pool configured for it as well as all other devices on my net that do not allow manual IP config and only allow DHCP.

Dish Anywhere FireStick and iPhone Not Working

As indicated above H3 is connected to a GigE port on the Cisco 3750G switch. Wired not Wireless. Thanks for the encouragement. Been smoke free for about 25 years now but only dip free for about 10 days. Have tried quitting before but with no success. Smoking was hard but dip has been much...

Dish Anywhere FireStick and iPhone Not Working

Network is fine. Fiber to the home, feeding a cisco 891 router connected to 3750G switch which is where the H3 is connected on GigE Network is 100% functional and tested. Networks were my living for many years before I retired about 2 years ago.

Dish Anywhere FireStick and iPhone Not Working

I'm wondering if my issues are somehow tied to the H3 I get a streaming error 70% of the time or more when trying to do an on demand. It will look like it's starting but then comes back with a streaming error. If you go to the DVR section of the H3 and pick the on demand downloads what I just...

Dish Anywhere FireStick and iPhone Not Working

The DishAnywhere app first stopped working on several FireTv 4k's that I had I would at times get a message stating that this device is no longer supported, others I'd get a login error Ooops something went wrong try again later. Checking MyDish for the system requirements for DA on firestick...

    Purchased receiver fees

Patty, my bad Paul Harvey is correct, Steve would have said we surveyed 100 dish customers and asked them what do you pay for an owned receiver? The top 5 answers are on the board. :clapping

    Purchased receiver fees

Ok here's a little background and a lot of pain on my part behind this post. I have H3 leased 4k Joey leased wireless Joey leased and a 722k owned (for the motorhome) on my account. I never really bothered to check what I would be billed for the 722k as I might only have it on a week or two at...

    Purchased receiver fees

Biggest reason for me purchasing was for use in the Motorhome. This way I can activate and deactivate at will, not being a full timer, and not have to worry about returning equipment. Also I like not being under contract so once my two years was up I purchased a receiver to replace the leased...

    Purchased receiver fees

Yeah had found that post and the link to the info center which as you say has the most recent price change. I do remember when the purchased receivers first dropped, think it may have been first mentioned in a post from Scott at a Summit could be wrong about that though. Didn't remember seeing...

    Purchased receiver fees

Yes I know you pay the DVR fee no matter if there is a DVR receiver on the account. In fact I said this to the CSR that the $15 was DVR service not a fee for receiver 1 I tried to get him to grasp this by saying if I had ONLY a 222 receiver on the account there would be no equipment fee. He...

Did Dish change this? I know a year maybe two back they had lowered the pricing on purchased receivers.

    Purchased receiver fees

Where on Dish's site can I find the monthly fees for purchased receivers? I know that I have seen this before but can't seem to find it now. I know that I am being over charged for receivers that I own and had a CSR who not only argued that point with me but also denied that the first receiver...

    Suggestions for motorhome setup.

NYDutch, thanks good to know that I really don't have to worry about exposure to the elements! Now all I need to do is find the best price on an H3 and a couple or Joeys a 42 switch and a solo hub. Then the real fun begins getting DISH to add that to my account. Would be great if I can pull...

    Suggestions for motorhome setup.

Certainly sounds to me that if I can pickup another H3 or even H2 and have it added to my account that, that with my current 1000.4 (which I just love for ease of setup) and the DPH42 switch would be the easiest setup for me. I can relatively easily run a new cable through the firewall up to...

    Suggestions for motorhome setup.

NYDutch, that's exactly what I want. 1 H3 currently in the house the other if I can get it added to my account would be to replace the 722k in the motorhome. I thought that H3 required the hybrid LNB but the only gens did not so long as a switch was used. So I can use the current dish and...
