My actual dish, the reflector it self, has started to look crappy and weathered. I know others have “refreshed” theirs either by painting or with a decal of their favorite college or pro team but my question is will this paint of vinyl cause my signal to suffer in any way? :confused:

Well I did an RBR and the shows recorded this weekend worked fine w/full sound so for now it appears all is good, I suspect this was due to the last software download? :confused:

Well good news: I posted this same issue on DBStalk too and another person has the exact same issue so I know its not just me, I plan to do a RBR tonite to see if that helps, this seems to be tied to the last receiver software download I just got not too long ago...FWIW

I have a new issue with NO sound on spike hd recorded tv shows!?!?!? For about a week now or so whenever I record a show on Spike HD like the new Jesse James series, or Musclecar, I have NO sound what so ever coming out of the TV, no settings were changed nor has anything changed in my setup...

I see some of you are members over at AVS and I might assume HTF too, surprised I do not see any mention about SVS subs ?

Like you said, its better but not that much than 5.1, IMHO we have too many surround formats going on currently and the addition of HD just made it that much worse. Heck I have to upgrade my receiver just to listed to hd surround formats...:(

I went online and changed my package from $145 mth to just under $90, dropped all the premium channels. It changed my next bill to this price so I suppose I am done? I noticed I still have the premium channels though...:)

Seems this is getting worse and worse, several times during Idol last night, no rain in my area either. Could the frigid cold weather coming down from the north have any effect on this?

I have noticed a lot of audio glitches lately, seems worse on FOX than the others but still present on some of the others too. By audio glitches I mean that sound it makes kinda like a digital studder sound, if that makes sense...?? Whats the deal? Since my main viewing area is the living room...

I still have the dish itself,IE: the back metal oval, the mounting post and clamps and the small plastic "collar' that connects to the LNB, free if you need it, the lnb arm is gone though....

If your in the southern part of the country, it is because of all of the storms lately, they have shifted some of the techs south to help out in that part of the country or so they told me when I had a month lead time for my install.

On my home pc I have an older Dell 1.3ghz w/plenty of ram (2megs) IE 7& 8 are slow and Firefox, even ver 3.0 is slow, google chrome is the fastest of all of them. If you think google is spying on you what do you think Bill and company are doing, their all about the same in that aspect I think...
