I think I am rather clueless... how can I tell if my box is fully up to date? Under Information / About , it doesn’t show any updated dates past May 17. When I perform a software update, it says No Packages Updated. But I do see the latest commit for Enigma2 was 8/31.

I downloaded the firmware from the legitfta site last week, the date of the image seems to be May 17. When I did a software update in the GUI, there was only one package update. Does that sound right or should there be more updates since May 17?

Thanks yes, been playing around with that program also. It does allow renaming of channels in bouquets only, which is good.

Ok, I started over and scanned in some channels, moved them to Favorites bouquet, and then did the renames in the Favorites. Then did a blind scan again and the names remained intact in Favorites like primestar indicated. I must have messed something up when trying to do that in Dreamedit...

Thanks Brian, yes post #4 was mine and I understand the setting should prevent the channels from being renamed back automatically in the background. But even with that setting turned ON, it appears they get renamed back during a blind scan. I’ll try the suggestion of just renaming from the GUI...

One other question related to this... If I edit some channel names in my favorites and write the changes back to the box, what is the best way to prevent the names from being overwritten if I do another blind scan? Is that normal when that happens?

Well, in my case, it’s only KU band and I didn’t scan a ton of stuff, so it wasn’t a big deal to start over. All part of the learning process I guess.

I have another 90cm dish on a STAB HH90 motor and I am able to get from 125w down to 97w on there. Anything lower is outside of the motors physical limits. I have the other 90cm dish pointed at 91w and wanted to try out the bracket to see what else I can add on there.

Does anyone know if the Amiko mini supports the GotoX function where you can tell it to drive the motor to a specific position number that has been previously stored in the motor from another STB or meter? Most STB’s have this option under the DiSEqC 1.2 section, but I can’t seem to find it on...

Another vote here for the Amiko Mini H265 sold by KE4EST. I just received mine and it works better than some of the more expensive STB’s I’ve tried ( for me anyway). Very full featured for the price.
