The interesting thing is the D* customer service rep insisted that I spend the $199 and go to the DECA system. I even suggested resetting all the receivers and he didn't want me to do that. Why on earth would anybody want to add another device if they could simply use the Ethernet only?
I have four HR22s connected to my network via wired ethernet. It has been that way for a few years now. I have been sharing playlist between my DVRs since it first became available and via the cutting edge program before it was available to the general public. It was working great until a...
Without trick play, I don't see how playon via the directv box is a viable option. I thinking about buying a second roku box for the other TV instead of using playon.
When accessing a media server (e.g. Playon) via my Directv box, I can pause, but not fast forward or rewind. Am I doing something wrong? Are there any plans to enhance that feature?
I'm using Playon to view Netflix, Hulu, etc from my HR-22s. I'm able to pause a program, but I have not ability to rewind or fast-forward. I'm assuming that may not be possible due to the nature of internet streaming.
invalid client access card?
Since downloading the updates last night on my HR22-100s, I get a "playback not allowed, client access card missing or invalid" when I try to watch a show from a remote DVR.
I having occasional audio drops with my hr-22. These drops are only for about 1 second, so it isn't that big of deal. During a typical "24" episode it will happen 4 or 5 times. It also seems to happen during intense action scenes with there is a lot of noise. Also, I rarely watch live tv...
I recently change from comcast to directv and was happy with everything but the HD PQ. Definitely a little watered down on my home theater screen. My answer was to by the $49 AM-21 w/ a $25 antenna in the attic. It makes a difference on shows like 24. So I figure for $75, I fixed the...
I discovered Playon after I purchased a Roku. Both work great. I did find that my XP machine works better as a media server than my vista machine; even though the XP machine is several years old. I've also install TVersity for photos and home videos. I probably would hvae passed on the Roku...
I'm move the channels I was modulating from 77 thru 89 to 104 thru 120. I believe catv 77 thru 89 use the same frequencies as OTA channels 26 thru 38 which conflict with some of the new digital channels. Everything now works.
Here's is what I'm trying to do. I have in house system of cameras with built in modulators. The cameras are using CATV channels 89, 86, 83, 80, and 77. I'm trying to add OTA to the same coax network so I can watch OTA also. All the televisions involved are digital. When I introduce the...
I can set the modulators for any channel I want. We do have a channel 14 & 17 locally here in NW Atlanta, so the above may not work for me. Is there device that would let me choose the channels I block?
I want to be able to block enough frequencies to create five internal modulated channels without losing any of my OTA digital channels. I'm seen notch filters online, but most seem to block a range large enough for two or three channels. Will I need a series of notch filters or is there a...
I got it to work ... here's the link on how I did it (item #22)
http://www.satelliteguys.us/directv-technical-discussions/166050-ota-sharing-same-cable-2.html
It works. I connected the amplified antenna output and the satellite output to a diplexer (with power passing) outside the house. I made no changes to the SWS-4 or power inserter inside the basement. I then attached a diplexer at each television. I didn't lose any of the satellite signal...
