Thanks for the suggestions...neither worked however. I pressed channel up about a thousand times and the TV never turned off. Also tried all the RCA codes to no avail. One strange thing, I found online to try code 10030, and when I used that, I did get some TV functions (like menu), but not volume.

Kinda funny, you literally posted this 2 minutes before I was going to. Oh well, looks like I might have to use two remotes - annoying. I can't even get the volume to work using the button on the side of the TV! I guess you get what you pay for.
