Well to avoid a wing dish just pointing at say 61.5 or 129, go the 1000.2 and 1 dish, its Pretty :D and any tech worth his salt can just point at the 119, with the correct skew and elevation and hit all 3 you need 110, 119, 129 in the Western Arc.

What version is your Birdog, mines a 2.5 and not a problem pointing them, but is a big drain on the battery :(

It really would be based on your elevation settings on your 1000.2 not your skew, skew is just the setting to receiver more then one satellite, and with the 1000.2 you are hitting 3 119,110, 129. If you have someone with a inclinometer, that would definitely help you verify if the elevation is...

Hey all I just picked up a Birdog 2.5 for a steal on Ebay. My question is what satellites do I need on my Birdog. Also will the 2.5 work on pointing 1000.2 and 1000.4 installs. I'm pyched can't wait ot use it, my jobs just got easier :D

Also make sure your dish is pointed in the same direction as your neighbors usual pointing direction is South, if you have a compass that helps. with a simple meter do a sweep left to right til you hear the highest tone then stop and run a check switch and see what you get.

Souhds like like your 322 at kone time was getting just 119/110 satellites do what Sca suggested and run a check switch, menu 6-1-1 although the 322 isnt a HD receiver it should recognize the 129 if thats the issue.

Ahhh you nned to have your dish facing East to receive the eastern Arc satellites, again make sure your Mast is Plumb, level, or on a pole the pole is straight, also check your elevation and skew settings on the dish are correct. Hope this helped

I usually use a Channelmaster powered by the receiver to point a 1000.2 on port 1 of the LNB, not too expensive and do the trick to get you atleast in the ballpark of a signal, then you can have someone at the receiver call out signal strengths as you tweek, hope this helped.
