    Also if you disconnect the Plus and go back to just the Hopper3 the signal strength will show up, but that is kind of a pain to go through all that to see the signal strength.

    Questions about Hopper-Joey DVR recordings

    All the recordings are on the Hopper 3 and the Joey just remotes into to them. You can setup, watch, delete recordings from the Joey but they are all held on the Hopper. He is correct about the folder thing, she would also have all access to the folders, yours and hers.

    You can try holding your hand in front of the remote to block the I.R. signal from turning off your TV and then you can just turn of the Joey 4 which uses a wireless signal not I.R..

    Is it possible it was saved to a folder that you haven't checked. Sometimes the default setup for recording goes to a folder rather than "No Folder".

    The Plus works fine on the USB 2.0 on the back, leaving the 3.0 available for the EHD. The EHD works faster when using the USB 3.0 connection on the back.

    I usually plug the H3 back in, wait a minute or so and then plug in the Plus, also re-plug in the J4. Not sure that is the necessary order but it works for me. It lets the H3 get going so the Plus and J4 have something to connect to.

    Hopper 4(Is One Coming)??

    After the Hopper + is disconnected from Hopper 3 and the HDMI cable is connected back to the Hopper 3 in about 15 minutes it will revert to just the Hopper 3 operating as a normal H3. No re-boot required.

    We Must Be Getting Close

    Simple solution - Plug your EHD into the bottom USB port (which is USB 3 for faster transfers to/from the EHD) Plug the Plus into the top USB port and the OTA into the USB port on the front of the H3. This is the arrangement I used before purchasing a hub and it worked fine.

    I was pleased last year when the Portland Trailblazers ended there contract with Comcast for broadcast of their games. They were moving over to RootNW. But when the preseason games began, found out that Dish now no longer carries RootNW.
