I have 2 HD DVR's and 2 regular HD receivers. Both DVRs got it, but it's not on the regular HD receivers.

If this only on HD-DVRs? I got it the other day, but it's not on my 2 HD (non DVR) H21-200's.

Update! I got my new Hr24-500 from solidsignal.com and its activated and working good! They had no problem sending the recovery box for my old receiver to my billing address. I was so worried they would ask questions but they did not! They even gave me HBO free for 3 months. The only weird part...

I already put a order in with solidsignal, but we do have 2 DVRs, so I might try it again later this week just for the hell of it. When I called the lady on the phone sounded "older" and kind of slow. Hopefully when I call in to activate the new receiver and deactivate the old receiver it won't...

Looks like I'm going to go with solidsignal. When I called the lady said I was in fact eligible for a free DVR upgrade but that wanted $50.00 for installation. I asked about just sending me a new receiver in the mail without installation, she said I can't do that. I said no thanks and hug up!

Thanks for the help, all call DirecTV first and see what they say. If that dose not work, then all go with solidsignal then.

Thanks Iceberg! Hey I got a question, when you order new receivers from DirecTV without instillation is it a used receiver or a new one? I remember years ago they send out only used receivers, but that was a long time ago.

Every time I call DirecTV for something, they always tell me I am eligible for a free HD-DVR, but I always decline. I was looking at DirecTV.com and it looks like you can send it to any address you want. It's about $150 without instillation. I'm also looking at solidsignal.com

My old HR-21-200 just died on me and I am a "MOVER"! Any suggestions? If I call DirecTV and ask them to send me a new receiver to my billing address will that sound kind of weird?

It's that time of the year again! I called in and said the renewal price is way to high. Not as good as last year but I got "SIRIUS Everything" for $87.08 after taxes and other fees. Last year I got everything for $76 but as long as it under $100 I'm happy!

He could find a independent repair man in the yellow pages. I think that's what most "movers" do, but I wouldn't know anything about that! lol

Yup, ABC, CBS, NBC, & FOX from NY and LA are on a Conus. If you "MOVE" to LA, you will get only those 4 networks. You can watch them on the 380's and the 390's for HD.

Just about every other provider has WGN America HD, Dish Network, Comcast and AT&T U-verse! Oh and what about AMC HD, E! HD, AMC HD and MSNBC HD?

Question, dose DirecTV just take the money out of your bank accont or do they send you a bill?

You have 2 options. "Move" to a rural place. Or if you just want LA or NYC locals, just "MOVE" to one of those cities. NOTE: you will only get NBC CBS ABC & FOX. NO CW or other locals from either LA or NYC.

Don't forget, you will lose all your local channels if you "MOVE", but you can use a OTA (rabbit ears) for that! ;)

I think you can email them also. If they ask why you are moving, just make up a story like it's for my job. And if they ask about an installation or set up, just tell them everything is ready to go. And yes, you will get WNBC, WCBS, WABC, and WNYW FOX.

Just "MOVE" to New York. You will get all the games on YES. I have a friend that did this so he could watch the Jets games (without the Sunday ticket) on WCBS from New York. Just give DirecTV a service address in the New York City area. You can keep your billing address the same as your current...
