I do have the PI hooked up in-line to the LNB. I mentioned the short patch cable just so i could test the voltage as close to the PI as i could. I then hooked it back up and went out to test at the LNB. Any other tests for the LNB that you can think of?

I just put my volt meter on my PI and found 20.3V with a short patch cable. Then hooked up everything and went out to the LNB. 20.3V there as well. That is below the 21V but Im guessing that would be ok still??

I only have one cable coming off the LNB. and only one port on the LNB to plug the cable into it. I used a new cable and a wrench to attach the cable

0's on all birds and all transponders. Seems like my dish is out of alignment. But Ive done nothing to mess with the alignment. And it doesnt explain the 771a error as opposed to the dish alignment error.

No i only have the one. I was going to take my receiver over to a friends who has the same dish etc and see if I could get mine going there. or vice versa with his receiver over at my place.

the receiver is not activated at the moment. I was able to get the dish pointed and got great signal on all birds. Once i completed the installation verification 99 was there. so I guess I just need to activate! I will let you know once I have done that. thanks again swandive

thanks peano. i like that approch. ill see what i can do with that. now my receiver detects my lnb it seems and when cyclying through the sats on the Signal Meter it has other ones in there like 110. Do i have a setting wrong?
