Even though you had the splitter swapped out did you happen to swap the cables around from Tuner 1 to Tuner 2 and recheck your signals?

The game was definitely broadcasted in HD. But what will happen is Master Control at Dish Network will either not flip the switch for that HD broadcast channel or their Internal Schedule does not indicate a HD game on that particular day.
