Octava 3X1. I already have a 15m run to display and when I added switch I used another 6 feet of HDMI cable. I'm wondering if the extra 6 feet is causing the dropout of audio.

I connected my Dish 942 to a HDMI switch and it is passing video but not audio. The video and audio are working when hooked up directly to display bypassing the switch. The switch has been tested and eliminated as the source of the problem. I'm guessing the 942 is the source of the problem...

Am I the only one experiencing a poor picture using coaxial TV2 output to a SD TV? Would it help to run a composite cable?

No, I did not threaten to leave. I did tell them that I thought it was ridiculus to be able to lease my 811 from them, but have to deal with with an unknown retailer in order to get the 942.

I'm an existing cutomer and got the lease deal today. It took about 15 minutes of negotiating. They are mailing me the receiver and installing on Memorial day. It may have helped that I have been with them for nine years, never missed a payment, and spend $120+ a month.

Ok, I'm the fool. As suggested, I spoke with the HD eligibility dept(1-800-263-0028). They apologized for the incorrect information I received from three different CSR's. Looks like I will have until this summer for local HD. And all this time I thought it was just the E* reps who were idiots.

I just called D* for the third time and got the same response. They assured me that I would receive ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX in HD via my local networks. I confirmed that the HD feeds are not from NY/LA.
