you cannot expect too much from the FTA channels. IMO, Intersat21@58W C-band is the best choice. it got NHK HD, DW-latinoamerica, France-24 english, Korean Arirang, CCTV-4 and others. KU SatMex6 for Taiwan

i recommend watch NHK HD on C band 58W. They got the best 1080i quality. it carries a lot of asian news.

Between 9am and 12pm PST on AMC21, 12146H6250 CPTV HD there appears to have a lot of BBC movies of detective stories and classic dramas of HD quality. i dont know its a one-time feed or on regular schedule, but i was able to enjoy a lot. These dramas do not appear on regular local PBS programs.

sorry, i dont know what is bandstacked. i think its function is same as microHD, since its interfaces/software are almost identical, except closed caption. i use openbox s16 for c-band Intelsat 21 (58W), Ku-bands: galaxy 3C and galaxy 19, AMC21, all working.
