I rebooted Hopper and drive again, still same error 855. I realized I had no recordings on my Hopper since it was new, so I started recording whatever was on the channel I was watching. Then I tried to transfer from EHD to Hopper and now it's working. I'm trying to get everything off before...

Is there a way to format the Hopper's drive? Each time a transfer fails, the free space on the Hopper keeps going down. But I don't see the shows on the DVR.

Well, I can now see the shows on my EHD. I just left it it sit over night. I can play shows off it but get error 855 when I try to transfer any show to my Hopper. So frustrating!

Upgraded to HWS tonight. I copied all of my shows on my original Hopper to an external hard drive (USB only, no external power option). External Device 1 only shows if I plug in EHD and reset the Hopper. But it shows as 0MB total/free space, don't see any of my shows when I try to transfer...

Got it. Lucky got me on the right track. 1. Hit Menu button twice. 2. Unpair remote 3. Pair old remote by hitting SAT button. 4. Once paired, hold down 0 and restore from remote.

I linked the new remote during setup wizard. How can I get my old remote linked up so I can restore my settings? Thanks!

Thanks. I tried that, toggled switch next to batteries with no luck. IR won't work since Joey is inutility room. I'm getting upgraded to new Hopper with Sling, hopefully get to keep old remote.

Got it working with an old RF modulator. Looks decent, good enough for the MIL! Can't get an old 21.0 UHF/IR remote to work with the Joey. Any tricks? Would like both my 40.0 and the 21.0 to work at same time.

Count me in the "Sling Adapter Is Dead" club. Tried different USB ports, unplug power from Hopper, etc. The light doesn't come on. Been like this for months. I see on the DISH forum a lot of people are having same issue in last 6 months. Can I get this replaced? I pay for the protection...

The Joey is in the separate building connected directly to the TV, so no issues with the remote. The Joey is connected to the Hopper through a network connection (hard wired or wireless).
